Hey. I think I remember hanging at this place MANY years back when I was a teen into my 20's, but my mind dont work too well nowadays. Plus I haven't hung out in Deep Ellum for many other years, especially since it has all went to hell now. Anyways, if this ain't the place I remember, and it is new, I still had FUN! Went to karaoke Thursday night, and enjoyed it. I don't drink anymore, but I still wasn't nervous. The other singers were fine, and I sung along and danced with the crowd. Free ice cold water in a cooler, that was good. Enjoy seating in the back, women's restroom was nice and clean. Outside patio. As with many places, there are the barflies who dont like new faces, especially women but I love my haters. Hate me because I'm beautiful, please! Just don't touch. Had to take away one star because the AC is a joke and it was baking inside. Plus there was an older guy at the bar who reeked like old sweat socks. I know we hot here in the summer so y'all gotta upgrade those few lil baby boom box size ac vents in the ceilings. Place is not that huge and it wasn't that crowded to be so hot. Other than that, it was a chill, fun spot and I will definitely be returning,...
Read moreI am a Huge fan of this place! Their band nights range from folk rock to New Orleans Jazz. On Friday and Saturday nights the place can get so packed there is a line waiting to get in. And it is well deserved. They have good beer and great cocktails. And they have a lovely courtyard patio. But on other days, Twilite transforms into more of a neighborhood vibe. I've stopped by on a less crowded Sunday night as well as an early Friday night before anybody crowded in. The jukebox was always playing something great and the booths or the book nook seating area were always very comfortable and inviting. Recently, I stopped in after Brunch somewhere else and the vibe felt even more Neighborhood New Orleans with its small crowd of friendly regulars. Twilite is one of those places that if I'm ever stumped as to where I want to have a drink in Deep Ellum, I can always count on...
Read moreThis place made me hate Texas. Went due to the high ratings. Drinks looked delicious. Had been waiting patiently in line for a drink. When a woman came in, pretended not to see me, cut in front of me and when I said excuse me, we were waiting. The bartender (red headed bearded dude) yelled and I mean yelled that he saw me. I lived and worked in the hospitality business in NYC/Brooklyn for years and am from the south so when I say rude, I don’t say yelled or that it was rude, I don’t say it lightly. Takes a lot to piss me off. Due to that, I normally don’t leave bad ratings just take my business elsewhere. Everyone has a bad day, I get it but this was THAT bad. Run don’t walk somewhere else. There’s a sweet bar that spins vinyl a few doors down who showed me that Dallas can be better than what...
