I really want to give 3 stars, but I will feel bad. So Im giving 4 stars instead. First. Their food just OK. As South East Asian people who loves Thai food, I can tell their food too ordinary in taste.
My friend and I, we ordered Bangkok sampler, Kai Mamuang, Moo Pad Prik, Shrimp Tom Yum, White wine and Thai Ice tea.
Kai Mamuang n Moo Pad Prik just ok. Too blant. I asked spicy for the pork but it wasnt even spicy. But their Thai Icea Tea, I love it. Thai Icea tea is very simple but not every place can make a good one. So i praise them for it.
The servers very nice and friendly, thats why I giving the rate 4 stars instead 3.
Also, I dont know if it just me. But this is aint fancy dining restaurant with full of those white folks act fancy, so I was expecting a Menu with pictures tbh. I mean reading their menu list quite make me depress. LOL. I wish I get a glance of the image some of the best seller menu at least on their menu book....
Read moreThe original Thai restaurant in Connecticut. The gold standard for Thai food. Wonderful flavors in every dish. I love the ginger chicken (Pad Thai King) and add extra chicken for a few $ more. Also love the Thai beef jerky appetizer (boneless rib tips in a soy ginger marinade that are boiled). Best Pad Thai noodles, incredible flavor!! Love the shrimp chips that are free when you dine-in.
I drive 45 minutes from my house to eat here. I never mind the effort because the food is so good! The NY Times should send a food critic here to delight in the incredible dishes.
This is a must try restaurant 100% if you like Thai food. This place opened in 1986 and is now operated by the next generation of the family (really nice people). Very clean and upscale but above all delicious!!!
I should have posted a review 15 years ago. My wife has been eating here for about 25 years. What a...
Read moreThis is the BEST restaurant anywhere!!!!!!! We've been going here since it opened, for 30 years. It is a tribute to the owners that their family is keeping it going. Their soups are authentic and out-of-this-world. The Thai hot and sour is probably my favorite "food" on earth. My husband likes the Tom Yum Goon and I also love their Tom Yum Gai (chicken/coconut milk). We've been to Bangkok, Thailand, and this restaurant is better than anything we had there. In fact, one of the first restaurants we visited when we returned was this one. Love their pad Thai as well as drunken noodles. My other favorite is the Cashew Kai (chicken). The sauce is unbelievable and spices fresh and tasty. Always get the lunch specials which are a wonderful bargain, coming with soup. I visit Bangkok at least...
