I have been to many different Texas Roadhouse locations, and have never had a negative experience until I went to the Roadhouse in.Danbury, Connecticut.
It started out with the wrong beer coming out of a tap. This was taken care of by the staff. (Although we were still charged for them.)
Next we ordered our steaks (medium rare) The bartenders were not easy to communicate with because they stood over in the corner visiting and laughing most of the time; without glancing to see if you needed anything. I needed more dressing for salad which I was unable to ask for. When my Filet came out, no one asked if it was cooked right. It was well done and basically like chewing on a shoe.
The Manger came to the bar area and stood over and laughed with the girls instead of asking anyone how their meal was. I was unable to.get his attention to show him steak. It was very disappointing, but I came back.the next night and sat in a booth to give the place another chance. That night was just as bad and discouraging. The lack of service and communication was appalling. Once again you could see your server laughing and telling stories to other servers, and would not make eye contact. When it was over we waited forever to get a bill. The bill didn't come so we got up to leave. As we stood out front trying to not actually leave without paying, no one asked to help. Finally I saw 3 guys talking and laughing in the kitchen doorway and asked them to.see a manager. One guy said I'm a manager, and I told him we needed help. He did help us so we could pay and leave after a grand total of 1 hrs 57 minutes...
Read moreWe used your app to order a family meal to celebrate Xmas eve together with a special meal. Your app said the food would be ready at 4 PM. We arrived at 4:02 and texted "here." App said food isn't ready and we'd get a text when it was. We texted "Here" again at 4:20 - app said food is still not ready - the delay was unacceptable. I called your restaurant directly and asked for a manager - a young voice came on and I asked about my order and the delay. He replied, "Well, it's just up now." No apology. No explanation. When I went to the window, our food bag was in the middle of a line of other food bags. Obviously, it was there for a while and not "just up now." When I got back to my car I checked the app and there was no message so I texted "here" again - I got the same msg that my food wasn't ready. Terrible system. Arriving back at home, my phone went off at 4:36 that my food was ready. 36 mins late and more than 15 mins AFTER I picked it up. Pulled food out and it was STONE cold. It had obviously been sitting for a LONG time before I had to call to get it. Had to spend 15 mins heating everyone's food up in the microwave. Everyone was upset. Food was subpar after being cold and microwaved. Thanks for ruining our Xmas eve dinner Texas Roadhouse. Read moreWe had such a wonderful experience this evening while stopping off for dinner! We work over the road with our entire family (us and our 4 kids) and was passing through Danbury and decided to stop here. We had the pleasure of having “Tyler” as our waiter and with all honesty, he was THE BEST waiter we’ve ever come across. You see, our oldest son has some minor learning disabilities and it takes him a little longer to process things so every time we go out, it makes us a little nervous to see how the waiters would react when time came to taking his order. Tyler made my eyes watered and as a mother, I could not thank his parents enough for raising such a fine young man. Instead of making my son or any of us feel awkward as most waiters would do, he patiently showed my son where the sides were and read through each one and kindly explained what it was when he saw that my son looked lost. Aside from that, he treated each and every one of us with much respect and kindness, something that we rarely get nowadays. Texas Roadhouse, your food is delicious and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed it but TYLER was definitely the highlight of our evening!
