It's only their first week open, so try to extend a little mercy. That being said, the parking lot design is atrocious. Let me ask you, do you sometimes drop your spouse or dinnermates off at the door to procure a seat while you park? If you try to do that here, you have to exit the parking lot, pull out onto Vermilion, drive down to Poland, and re-enter the parking lot from the back. Or perform a precarious U-turn, trying to thread the needle between medians and curbs. And exiting the parking lot? the space between the curbs is so narrow, it was completely marked up from people hitting it after the first day.
Upon entering the restaurant, the hostess looked at her whiteboard map, found us a table and marked it off. Her helper walked us back to the table, only to find guests already seated. So we walked back up front, were given another table, walked to it and found guests already seated there as well. The girl just noticed an empty table and sat us there. As we sat, I saw the same thing happen to 2 other parties.
I ordered an iced tea, only to be told they were out. While waiting for the food to come out, I saw what appeared to be a manager in the back pickup a menu and begin scratching his moustache with it. So from a service standpoint, yeah, not something to really glow about. However, the waitress and hostess were friendly and apologetic for the mixups.
On the flip side, the food was AWESOME. I had easily one of the best burgers in town. The food outshines the opening-week-quirks. If they keep up this quality of food, it will definitely be a great addition...
Read moreOur experience was not as good as it has been in the past. They seemed a bit disorganized. First off, my friend ordered a to go meal for her husband to be prepared at the end of our meal and after quite a wait, it was the first thing that came to our table.(It should have been the last) When our food finally did arrive, my friend's food was cold. My other friend never got her food. When we flagged down the waitress, she said she forgot to run the order and went back to kitchen and the food had just been sitting there so she told us that she was going to have them remake it so it would be fresh and she took the other plate that was cold back and said she would also remake it also. It was about 25 minutes later before their food arrived. The pasta was still a bit lukewarm. My other friend had ordered a ranch chicken sandwich and there was only a dime-sized dollop of ranch on the sandwich. I'm not sure what was going on in the back but they just seem extremely disorganized with their food preparation. Our waitress was very nice. She was trying to appease us. I don't know if they were short-staffed or what but she did not check on us very often at all for drink refill. It was not really that crowded there so I'm not sure what was going on. The service has always been good in the past. Bad night? The waitress took off the charge for my two friends who had cold food and no food. So that was good. Hopefully this will improve as they do...
Read moreI had an incredibly disappointing experience at this Applebee’s on Christmas Eve. I placed an order for four items and only received one—a single appetizer. When I called the restaurant, they assured me I could come back to retrieve the missing items, so I prepared to do so. Then they called again to inform me they had already thrown the food away, as it was one of the last orders of the night. Instead of a full resolution, they offered me partial credits for the missing items.
The next day, I called back because even the appetizer I received was of poor quality, and I requested a refund. The manager initially confirmed that they processed the refund. However, I never received it. When I followed up again, I was told I could only receive credits instead of the refund I was promised.
This experience has been a frustrating mix of poor communication, broken promises, and lackluster customer service. I don’t want credits—I want the issue resolved with the refund I was told I’d receive. This is not the level of service I expect from a restaurant chain like Applebee’s, especially during the...
