My family and I have always enjoyed going to Weston Diner, until yesterday. Before 8am, my husband and I waited for table seating for more than 10 minutes, with no line ahead of us, and clearly 2/3 of the restaurant was empty, so tables were widely available. The one staff member we saw working in the dining area never even acknowledged us standing at the front reception area nor approached us to offer a table/service.
My husband walked to kitchen entrance door and asked for someone to come out, alerting them of us waiting. Then the waitress blurted out loudly, "I'm not waiting on you, and I'm sure the other girl won't serve you either."
After hearing that, I immediately exited the restaurant, and my husband asked the lady, "why would you speak like that to my wife?" Her reply, "a couple weeks ago your wife was here and I had an argument with her, telling her not to ever come back here".
Wow, omg....I'm so appalled at the accusation, of which is absolutely a blatant lie. My thoughts have always been, you never upset a server in any food establishment, knowing that they can easily do unpleasant things to your food.
Clearly, the waitress, whom called herself the manager, had mistaken me for someone else. Never have I had any arguments with any staff member at Weston Diner. That's just not my style, and life is too short!
Just beware, when a server/manager shows their true colors, bad things may end up in your food!
After the fiasco Weston Diners' manager caused us, we went to Bagelmania. Funny thing, another couple showed up at Bagelmania that we had seen at Weston Diner earlier, as we waited for a table while being completely ignored! We recognized the couple and said "hello". The couple in turn stated the reason they left was, "we were tired of waiting for service and overheard others around our table complaining about the service".
If the owners of Weston Diner don't remove this manager from their restaurant, she'll destroy their business quickly.
Good luck with having success in 2024. You're...
Read moreOften times in our lives we need comfort food and if there are times we need a “Great Little Diner”.
I am glad I was able to get both in one visit.
We wanted something to eat and remembered the little diner in the corner… and so we entered. The first impression was worth all the stars, we were greeted by staff who’s smile definitely was genuine and welcoming.
I have had a tough week with a knee surgery, complications, and dealing with limited movement and in a wheelchair. Upon interning the door the welcome we received was so inviting. We asked for the restroom and then the staff helped clear the bathroom for my caregiver to go in with me. Then met us back at the table and engaged in a conversation and shared details with us about the diner.
Our waitress quickly helped us with drinks and order and the food was out within minutes. The choices we had were amazing. The portions large and if course we cannot overlook the attentiveness of the staff asking if we were ok, if we needed more coffee, if we needed anything else.
It’s been a while since we’ve been T a place where staff spends time and makes you feel like family. For this short time we were here we enjoyed everything.
The only downfall is the outside is being refurbished so there was temp fence and honestly it wouldn’t matter because everything else was amazing
Looking forward to future meals here and trying out other menu items,
I can strongly suggest the 2~2-2…
I had the banana walnut pancakes and they were the best ever.
Thanks for making this a great day and sharing a great...
Read moreIt was one of the worst experiences we have ever had. I am usually a polite person and never leave anyone a bad review. But this time it was too much. We ordered food online and the delivery was incomplete. We ordered 3 omelettes with toasts, french croissants and strawberry Nutella pancakes, and an additional order of hash browns. Our order cost us 100+ dollars and we had company over. Our order was completely messed up. We never received pancakes, toast and additional order of hash browns. We called them and informed them of the problem with the order. They admitted, they messed up the order but refused to do anything about it . They were extremely irresponsible and rude and said the manager is busy and cannot take the call. They never gave us a call back. We eventually called back and talked to the manager at 3 pm. She was rude and disrespectful. She initially rebuked and said that we should talk to Uber about it. Then she had the audacity to tell us that they would not refund us the money since it is against their policy. They would only give us the pancakes if we chose to drive to place. It won’t even be delivered to our place. Also the food was not that good. Not worth the money and customers service is worse than terrible. If I could give them negative stars I would not hesitate. Please don’t waste your time and money on this worthless...
