Guads Tacos & Beer — Restaurant in Davis

Reposting here since Guads wants to take down and hide my review.

I am writing to express my outrage over an appalling experience I recently had at this establishment. I have been a loyal customer of Guads, but after what happened during my last visit, I will not be returning unless serious action is taken.

An employee--who identified herself as Angelica--was not only blatantly rude and disrespectful, but handed me my order with a visible attitude and an unmistakable scowl. That level of unprofessionalism alone was shocking. However, the situation became absolutely unacceptable when I discovered a strand of her hair in my food. There is no excuse for such a blatant violation of basic hygiene and health safety standards.

This isn't just a case of poor customer service--it's a health hazard and a reflection of gross negligence. Someone who behaves this way while handling food and interacting with customers has no place working in your restaurant.

I urge you to take immediate and appropriate action. If this is the level of service and sanitation being allowed, it puts all of your customers at risk--and reflects incredibly poorly...

Wow! I am truly impressed by the quality, taste and service Guads provided for my mom’s funeral reception. The food presentation was beautiful and just as delicious. They set up a gorgeous taco bar with three different types of meat, two different kinds of beans, rice, chips and all the fixings anyone would add to accompany their tacos or taco salad. All of our family and guests were able to enjoy a delicious hot meal and the stress of feeding the crowd was taken care of by Guads for us. We are especially grateful for Rigo’s guidance in helping us plan and organize exactly what we needed to place our order. We were dealing with the recent loss of our mom and he made the food order easy and one less thing for us to have to worry about. Their personnel was prompt, courteous and very professional with everything including the delivery, set up, presentation, take down and even packaging the left overs for us to take home! I highly recommend their service if you may ever need to plan a group meal. You will be very pleased with it all. Thanks again Guads...

I LOVE GUADS!!!! I have probably spent thousands of dollars here throughout my time in college..... the food is so tasty, quick, affordable. It is such a nice vibe here. When I am really busy with school, I sometimes come here 1-3 times a week. All of my friends are always down to go to Guads, because it is just THAT good. Some items that I particularly enjoy are the beef tamales, chicken posole, carne asada tacos, and tostadas. Barbacoa beef is so tasty. Must try if you are in Davis. Other Mexican restaurants pale in comparison to Guads. The lines can be long, so if you mobile order, then you can have the food ready for you by the time you get to the beginning of the line LOL. So, if you are a super busy college student, I would highly recommend mobile ordering so that it is ready when you arrive. Seating is limited. Salsas are tasty. Horchata is gooooddddddd.
