5 stars because it’s my favorite bar downtown. Very nice environment and drinks are priced fairly. I also think Michael is hands down one of the nicest people. The bar has a cozy environment and I always enjoy my time there.
This week was the first time I had a bad experience there and I believe it was because Michael was off that night and this woman was there running the bar. Short, dark hair. She insulted my friend and I by obnoxiously saying we look like we are “11 years old” and we showed our ID’s and continued to try and be kind to her and she continuously used us as punching bags, for no apparent reason, I guess for her mere entertainment. I ended up leaving eventually because I felt that trying to be nice was a waste of time and she was ruining my buzz. I still tipped her though. I saw on a previous review that she did it to someone else as well. Hopefully this kind of behavior isn’t condoned at this bar because I enjoy it there and I’ll keep coming...
Read moreThe women bartender did not give good vibes. I feel like she might hate men idk. I first walked up to the bar and order a drink and mentioned it was dead she said "THANKS" I was like you're welcome? Then proceeded to ask jokingly are you guys trying to have low numbers since she said "thanks" and she just looked at me no emotion which I then said "I guess I just expected there to be more people." to just make things less awkward. Mind you as a brand new customer I just walked in and is probably the only sober one in that bar at 12 am. She just replies "ok." Emotionless and walks away. I strike up a conversation with the women next to me ordering a shot the bartender then comes over and asks the women is everything ok like I'm the one who's the problem. I actually was having a nice chat about how she was there to enjoy pool and the music. Just a warning to guys maybe women to checking this place out negative vibes and professional unwelcoming hospitality...
Read moreWalked in, BBC documentary on Rainbow Trout (thought I was at a bar and not COSI).The documentary was as loud as a juke box, bar maid could care less when we asked to turn it off.Really into her E-read on her tablet. After a few songs the documentary volume went down and music went up.. I will say the narator in the documentary was killing it however it made me want to go home and snuggle up with that special someone. Its strange being at a bar where the bar tender could care less about selling a drink. She was more into reading her book. I even heard her say she was closing early because she had to work a double tomorrow. Definitely a bar to skip. It was a great place to go back on the day, not anymore however. There are much better bars in the area with darts and...
