Organized a casual birthday party here on a Saturday in June for two adults. Lots of space and large beer selection. But the staff was rude and getting a beer was slow and unorganized at the bar. Their beer garden only has a couple of tables with umbrellas.
At one point I sat a third full glass of beer down and a minute later it was gone. I flagged down the staff member who had taken it and grabbed it out of their collection tray. I understand the need to pick up empty glasses so they can be cleaned and turned over but taking a non-empty glass from a table clearly having a party without saying a word is a bit ridiculous.
At one point we started sitting at two picnic tables in the shade, which had been moved there by a previous party that had since left. When the band came at 4:30 to set up for a start time at 7PM they rudely told us to move (guests, paying customers) because they needed the space for running cables. When we asked if we would move in a while (we were well aware they did not start for 2 AND A HALF HOURS!) they made a comment to my wife that they would tell the manager we were the reason the band couldn't start on time. Who threatens something like that? Not wanting to cause a scene, a few of us decided to lift and move the two tables (which, again, we did not put there) to the other side of the stage. Later a staff member came out to collect empty classes (the only time they bothered to come out side) and very rudely accused us of moving the tables and said we should have asked before doing so. Who would we have asked? NO staff ever came outside and the attitude at the bar was they could barely be bothered to pour a drink. He also said the tables were in the way of the outside bar and they "may need to open it". I went inside a few minutes later to get another drink and the bar was slammed twenty deep. If you can't handle the bar inside, why would you open...
Read moreWe recently held our rehearsal dinner and guest meet-and-greet for our wedding at the Dayton Beer Company and it was so amazing! The DBC’s Event Coordinator & Marketing Manager Aubrey worked extensively with us to answer all of our questions and make sure all of our needs were met. She helped us plan and decide our food & drink menu, provided insights and ideas, and was present the night of our event to make sure everything ran smoothly. We reserved The Madison Room and it had plenty of space for our 40 guests to relax and enjoy. It was a lovely evening so the garage doors were open and allowed a nice breeze in. DBC provided the food for our event and all of our guests were raving how delicious it was and how professional the buffet setup was (we went with an assortment of pizzas, chicken tacos, BBQ pork sliders & pretzel chips with beer cheese). They were also happy to accommodate our guests with food allergies. The bar had a huge selection of beverages to enjoy and the bar staff was very friendly and helpful. We cannot recommend the Dayton beer Company enough for...
Read moreThis place is definitely not dog friendly. I just left there because they kept telling me my dog couldn’t come inside, but I was alone and they don’t serve you at outside tables! So I had no choice but to come inside. Plus, their website mentions nothing about dogs not being allowed inside. Don’t waste your time with this place.
Response to the owners response: I was not offered service until 20 minutes after I had the first conversation with your employee. Your employee only told me dogs are not allowed inside, I had to take a table outside, and didn’t ask me if I was alone until I came back inside 20 minutes later after assuming she would come outside to serve me. Plus, she seemed more interested in socializing than providing service. I don’t think she was on a break, but maybe it’s always break time when it’s convenient...
