As my very 1st ever Auntie Annie's Pretzels visit, I decided to try this Auntie Anne's Volusia Mall west entrance location, during an scenic walking exercise session. However, I left with a Bad taste for the business. AS, this was an highly anticipated opportunity to taste what smelled & looked to possibly be an absolutely delicious chewy pretzel treat. I stood patiently in line to buy a large hot pretzel for 51.5 mins, all the while observing: (1.) a 3 person employee profanity filled argument about who's break time it was; (2.) a what appeared to be a crew leader's or location manager's guided new employee, 2 person orientation training session on the ice cream/shaved ice machine assembly; (3.)a new hire cashier totally unfamiliar with the cash register & unable to make change for a cash purchase b/c register has large bills only; (4.) and another female employee crouched in the corner lovingly admiring her new extreme long pointed shaped canary yellow claw fingernails clearly hiding behind the hot dog machine on the phone discussing who's keeping her 3 babies when she clocks out and meets her date tonight. Needless to say, I exited the line and have lost all future desire for a visit to dear Auntie Annies', as well as perhaps the Doordash driver. And relieved my pent-up frustration with a little J.C.Penny retail therapy and deleriously laughed out loud when observing seemingly the same scene at Auntie A's place when existing the mall after my therapy session. Now I understand the Volusia Mall's decline But, I will miss the my beloved childhood mall. But not Auntie Annie's. But as a Christian, I do wish her ownership well, in their business endeavors. Success in business requires: A great realistic business plan, great location, excellent product &staff, superior plan execution, stellar customer service, certainly not the least....Cleanliness and...
Read moreCompletely unreasonable wait time. When I got to the register I recieved unfriendly and poor customer service. The cashier, I believe her name was Lillian, was completely unfriendly and seemed to be having a hard time ringing me up and giving me change. I figured she was new, so I let it go. What happened next is what really did it for me. My 2 year old son had a fit which resulted in the large drink (lemonade) I had bought from there spilling all over the floor. Mind you this happened right infront of auntie Anne's and all the employees. As I began to try to clean up the spilled lemonade all over the floor I asked Lillian if there was anyway she could call the janitor or give any kind of assistance as there was a large clear drink spilled all over the floor and I was worried someone wouldnt see it and slip. I continued to go up to the counter to get more napkins to clean up the spill because again I was afraid someone would fall. I asked if they had any sign to put up to let people know there was a spill and was completely ignored. After a few minutes of trying to clean the spill with no help from any of the employees I finally had to leave to tend to my 2 year old who was even more upset now because he has no drink. I have worked in the food service industry and have never been compelled to write a review like this. Completely unprofessional, unacceptable and unsafe. I hope I cleaned the spill up enough to prevent from anyone slipping on it. It's sad I'm more concerned about this then the...
