Waffle House — Restaurant in Daytona Beach

Dai, Laura, Lovie, Yolanda, I haven't been to a Waffle house in a long time. I live here in Florida and this week as many know is Bike Week so you can imagine how busy they are back to back all day! These Young ladies are insanely busy, but you wouldn't know it by how amazing the service is because they are on POINT with their food, their service anything you need they are on top of it and they don't half a** anything!! They are extremely friendly and have a wonderful attitude even tho I know they have got to be exhausted (if you ever been in Daytona during Bike Week then you know), but they are smiling and laughing and just making the best of it and they all do it as a team! There was no , well hold on she does this or that, They all just helped one another out and doing such a great job! They are definitely busy, but there really wasn't a wait time except maybe a minute or 2 for them to clean off the area we were sitting in! The food was amazing, their service was well the best I have had in a very long time and the environment was just fun and nice to be in. The restrooms are clean so they are even staying on top of that while also, keeping up with pretty much a full house! It was extremely nice to walk into a place like this particular one because it"s a rare one! The restaurant is what it is this morning because of all the hard working people behind that counter! They are what made it great and made the food great and the experience great!! I've been to other waffle houses where everyone that worked there was rude and the bathrooms were dirty and the food wasn't great! Sorry this is so long, but I am 44 and rarely have had a place like this treat one another so nice as well as the customers and make good food and stay on top of the cleanliness of the restaurant! I mean even the restaurant was clean! Anyways Thank All of You for such a wonderful experience and you just made my day a little bit better just by the wonderful attitudes you all had even tho you are slammed with ppl especially now during Daytona Beach Bike Week! Of all nights, you would think during Bikeweek they would be properly staffed. I guess the one server was new. I mean, she was so new she had no clue what she was doing. That being said, I really don't do too many bad reviews, but this was really bad. I ended up piling up the dirty dishes where my wife and I sat down at the bar top. She still didn't remove them until I stopped her and asked for them to be removed. Then I asked if she could wipe the sticky counter off. Nope, I ended up doing that myself and also wiped down the spot beside me for someone else to be able to sit down. She kept walking past us as if no one was there and she looked so lost. Again, I had to ask if she was going to take our oder and if we could have coffee. The order was written down wrong, and we got our coffee. No creamer, just coffee. Finally I asked the other girl and got creamer. Our order came out one thing at a time. My wife was starting to have hers, and I asked the girl, could I please have the waffle I ordered. Again, she was confused. Then she made me a half baked super thin waffle. Wife wanted me to tell her to make it again and make it right. I felt we had already been there an hour, and at this point I didn't want to wait any longer. We never got a refill on coffee, and she never asked if everything was OK. This is only half of the experience for what we saw going on. Every year when we are there for Bikeweek we always stop before the long ride home. Very disappointing this time around. After the hurricanes we have had better service and everything cleaned, cooked and not had this happen. We still gave her a nice tip and she didn't even say anything. Hope she learns what she is doing or she will not be there long. Others at the bar top and table beside us were all having problems. Just was not a good experience at all. We arrived early on our way to Daytona Beach and stopped in for breakfast at the request of my oldest child. We had a bad experience and Im sure the stop here will no longer be on anyone's request in the future.

First of all the place was dirty. There was food on the floor and the people working the counter were only interested in having conversations with each other and not helping any customers (only 2 of us). No One was cleaning anything, just carrying on chatter and playing music on the jukebox.

We ordered and my food came out first. Nobody else received their food except for me. After waiting 5 minutes I started to eat my meal by myself. After I was just about finished they brought out my daughters waffles. My wife still sat there with no food. About 5 minutes later I was about to get up and speak to the workers and then someone brought my wife her food (about 30 minutes after ordering).

Out waitress Trixie was nowhere to be found. (Haven't seen her since we ordered) After we finished eating I asked another worker for our check. She couldn't find our ticket and made another one up for us. We paid her and as we were walking out another worker thought we were skipping out on our ticket. We told her that we paid the other girl and the bill was settled. Trixie still nowhere to be found.

Management needs to get involved at this place and see what goes on at 7 in...
