EDIT: The shady manager/owner of this location cancelled my refund and I’ve had to reach out to Qdoba support who are just as terrible. Save your time and go to Moe’s or Chipotle.
I used to love Qdoba. However, my most recent experience was terrible. I went in and ordered brisket. It has been about a year since I’ve eaten at Qdoba, because I don’t live close to one. The brisket looked different, but I continued with my order. After I got my order I began to eat it and noticed one of the peppers still had the sticker on it. They obviously didn’t wash it, otherwise the sticker wouldn’t be there. The brisket was also spicy. I’ve been getting brisket since 2014 and it was never spicy, I guess they changed the recipe. Not sure why they would change something that had been the same for so long, but I digress. After I saw the label though, I took my food back inside and told one of the workers. She didn’t say anything, she just looked at it and took the bowl back to the back. A few moments later the owner or district manager( I’m not sure what his role is, but I’ve seen him at this location and the blue ash location multiple times) came out from the back, walked up to the register and started punching buttons aggressively. He then handed me my refund receipt and I left. Neither the worker or the owner/manager apologized or said anything to me for that matter. I’ve worked in the food industry before and I would never treat someone like that. It was clearly an issue on their end and they made me feel like I was the problem. I will never step foot in one of that man’s establishments again. Just a bit of advice to the owner/manager, maybe you should try to find another line of work, because this is not how you handle situations with...
Read moreQdoba is one of our favorite chains. Tonight, we found one we won't revisit.
We just moved to the area and have been eating out a lot as we haven't gotten our kitchen in order yet. We've been pleasantly surprised by a lot of the places to eat in Deerfield. One thing we've noticed is that they're all clean and well maintained.
Walking into this Qdoba felt different. It was 6PM on a Tuesday with no one around. There was a bit of a strange smell, but nothing too odd. We order our food and the service is okay, but only one worker was out front, a bit weird for the dinner shift at a peak time. A guy came out with a heavy accent that was difficult to understand, and he was a little bit abrupt. No problem though. We get our food and sit down, then I go to the restroom.
I'm a guy, and all the employees I saw are guys. I asked my fiance, a woman, if her bathroom was "bad", she said it looked like it had been clean once, and there was a big bug that was freaking her out. But overall she wasn't too grossed out.
Me on the other hand, crikey. The men's room smelled virulent, like piss. Even though the toilet and urinal were flushed. The soap was 100% tapped out, and there was a significant amount of ball hair and such hanging around. It certainly didn't make me feel confident in any of the employees washing their hands recently.
After coming out of the bathroom, I recognized the smell that lingered through the rest of the restaurant, and that was urine. So yeah, the entire place smelled like piss and half the workers were just chilling, pretty content with their own filth. Very gross, I'd recommend choosing any other location. And for the love of God, keep your...
Read moreMy complaint is with both Q’Doba and Uber Eats. I ordered food and after two hours of waiting was informed by my fourth delivery driver (the first three ALL spent at least 15 minutes at the restaurant) that it had been picked up already. Well this obviously was frustrating but ultimately fell on the shoulders of Uber Eats. Until I got on the phone with my driver who was being very friendly and attempting to figure out what had happened with my order. In the background I heard the Q’Doba employee say, rudely and aggressively, “I’m not making another. I’m not making more.” While I don’t see why remaking the order would be an issue, I can understand if it’s simply not allowed. But this man was extremely rude and unkind to the poor driver. I also find it strange that they claim the order was picked up but my order was never confirmed as picked up and multiple drivers clearly tried to get it. While there was clearly an issue on Uber Eats end, I’m very unhappy with how the restaurant handled it. It’s easy...
