Maria's Savory Subs — Restaurant in DeLand

After hearing about this place I was super excited to try it.. unfortunately I have no clue if the food is good or not.. when you walk in there is noone at the register, I even stood their for about 10 minutes when another customer waiting on food explained that you have to go to the back and order, since they cook out of a food trailer.. Now.. okay.. I walked back to the area.. they said they will send someone up front to take my order.. okay.. no big deal . The truck did look clean, so I was going to give it a try.. upon ordering I noticed the item I was ordering included Maria's special sauce, no problem as I asked if I could get the sauce on the side.. The girl behind the counter then said that would be an extra charge .. because I wanted an item included that comes on a sandwich on the side.. I could understand a charge if I wanted extra. But not because I wanted an item that comes on the sandwich on the side. Needless to say or the fact that she couldn't tell me what the Maria's sauce is.. I decided not to order and go somewhere more...

My boyfriend has been telling me about this place he's gotten a few Philly subs from here for lunch. He brought me home a fully loaded philly!!!! It was AMAZING!!!!! This was a very delicious flavorful sub. Even after he walked home 25-30 minutes. DELICIOUS 10/10. Would 100$ recommend. THE WAIT IS WORTH IT!!!!!!! if you don't have time don't blame the fresh amazing quality cooked meal for you lack of time to wait. Cooked to order and hot and cheesy and amazing. Thank you so much Maria I just moved to florida a few months ago from Ohio and you have served my favorite meal so far. I will definitely be telling everyone about your Philly...

My partner and i where looking for a local sandwich shop that was open late night and had something for everyone to eat, Maira's was one of the first to pop up when i searched, showing up to the restaurant i was hesitant at first because of the lack of reviews but marias upbeat attitude and passion for her food instantly sold me on the place. The saucy tossy was amazing and a unique spin on the normal chicken parm while the philly was “delicious and very good” as my partner says, “the coleslaw was very good” they add. 9.5/10 would recommend and...
