As someone that is an afficionado of Asian Food having visited the Orient at least 20 times I can honestly say that the food here was INCREDIBLY EXCELLENT. We made a reservation for 6, arrived earlier (15 minutes) than the other 4 members of our group. and were seated immediately. The decor is very clean, modern and inviting which adds to the experience. Our Server Tal was very attentive and even reminded us that we could still order from the Happy Hour Appetizer and Drink Menu despite it being past 6:00 pm. We found that really impressive. We didn't feel rushed and he regularly checked in on us and anticipated our needs for drinks, replenishing water and any other queries we had. Now onto the Food. Our Appetizers arrived quicily, Hot, Fresh, Amazingly Delicious. The Char Wokked Spicy Edamame was a total twist on just regular steamed Edamame and took the flavours to another level. The Spring Rolls were Crisp with Zero traces of grease and chock filled with vegetables. The Chicken Satay's were huge and very testy and fresh. No skimping on the quality of ingredients at Lemongrass!!! We also had California and Salmon Rolls which were fresh and the fish tasted like to just came out of the sea. Incredible. Our Entrees were ordered Mid Appetizers and everything arrived with perfect timing. The Pad Thai was chock full of chicken and the portion was quite large, enough for sharing. We also ordered the Mongolian Beef. The Beef was not tenderized and treated to be moist, but you could tell that it was made from very high quality cuts of beef. The Sauce and flavours made this one of the BEST Mongolian Beef dishes I have ever had. Our other friends ordered the Panang Curry (Chicken) which everyone agreed was the best this side of Thailand which is an impressive feat. We live 45 Minutes away from Delray Beach but the trip was well worth it. If you like Asian Food that has excellent quality, generous portions and incredible flavours you must visit Lemongrass. Its a phenomenal experience and best of all there is plenty of parking in the...
Read moreI’ve been to many lemongrass restaurants but, this particular restaurant left a bad taste in my mouth. It all started with the bartender/waiter Mr. Joseph W. Me and one of my girlfriends were admiring this lovely grass wall that they have in there facility. So, we did a slight touch on the wall just to feel it. He states “we spent a lot of money for that wall so please be careful” basically insisting for us not to touch it. That there had me on edge. Then, when it was time to order our food, he didn’t even come up to the booth where we were sitting, he basically had me and my friends yell our order to him at the bar in which he was placing it in the system rather than coming to us with a pad and writing it down. I felt that was extremely tacky and lacked alot of etiquette and restaurant staff procedures. To top it off, one of my friends didn’t Like there order. Unfortunately, What was described on the menu didn’t match the description in person. So, my friend wanted to switch over to what I had. When my friend brought it to the waiter attention he states “ I’m going to still have to charge you because we cannot waste food.” I was in complete aww because that is not customer service and the approach was extremely unpleasant. Where was the care? So, I jump in the conversation and told the server that “ he shouldn’t have to pay for the food if he is unsatisfied with it and barely took two bites of it. If you can’t have the item removed. We will just speak with the manager”. After that, he states how he will bring it up to the manager and he will see what he can do. Moments later, he comes to the table and tells us the manager was able to take it off. I asked for the check and was ready to be on my way. Clearly me and my friends weren’t welcomed there and was granted 2 star service. I thought this place had a little more class but boy I was wrong. Matter of fact, Mr. Joseph W you were wrong on so many levels and I sure hope the appropriate actions are taken so this doesn’t happen to...
Read moreA group of 5 of us drove up from Miami and had lunch here after going to the beach. The restaurant is along the old Delray Beach downtown. It’s a very nice area with lots of shops and restaurants. They have outdoor seating which was nice even on a hot day because it’s shaded and they have fans on. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. We ordered some vegetable spring rolls and edamame for appetizers. The spring rolls were very good. I ordered the coconut soup. It comes with mushrooms and your choice of chicken or shrimp. I had shrimp. It had two pieces of shrimp. It’s a little spicy, but super good! I was actually full after eating half of a spring roll, the soup and some edamame. But I had also ordered the Deep Blue Sea sushi roll. It was huge! There must’ve been 14 pieces! It is a very heavy/rich roll. The blue crab on top is creamy, like they mixed it in mayonnaise or something. But it was very good. I couldn’t finish it and took the leftovers home. My friend ordered the same thing, and without having a soup, she too could not finish her roll. Another friend ordered the wonton soup and a salad and loved both. She ate every bite. Another friend ordered a seafood stir fried rice. And another friend ordered the same salad, but with shrimp on it. They have a nice selection of dressings to choose from, like ginger, miso, peanut, and more. My friends both got the ginger dressing. It comes in a huge bowl! I thought it was a soup. They both loved the salad. I’m a big salad lover, but I really wanted to try a sushi roll. I’d love to go back and try one of their salads, a salmon skin hand roll, and a lighter sushi roll. Prices aren’t bad. For the edamame, soup, and roll my bill was a little under $40 before tip. Since we have friends who live up there, we’ll...
