This was my 4th time shopping at the Kollective (never being able to leave with outbuying multiple items). Me and my mother actually found it the day before it officially opened and up until was great. We bought multiple items every time. Have ever this time has made it so neither of us will go back. I went in on 1/14: 1st off this one women kept following me. It was kind of creepy, she took items out of my hand and moved them to the front. Did not confirm I want to buy them just took them. There was also one booth that was headbands straight off amazon. However this is not the reason I will never go there again. At 7:30 I purchased a necklace from one of the vendor loved it pearl chain with a pink heart. The next day I went to put it on and the clasp fell off! So instead of getting to spend time with my mother before flying home I had to drive into a super busy delray to see what could be done. I had not even had the piece 24 hours! (it was 1pm on 1/15) We got in a lovely gentleman help us he called the artist who did not pick up. We had already been waiting a bit before and after the call. He then went and got the reason I will never do back! A women who did not introduce herself came out already hostel. She kept pointing to the final sale signs and saying no returns. She spoke to me in such a rude and harsh manor no one should ever talk that way to anyone. Eventually after being beyond rude, scolding me and claiming I purposely broke the necklace (which I was heart broken broke) she said I "screwed over the person I worked with" I'm not sure how caused any issue wanting money back for an item that fell apart in less than 24 hours. She was awful and cruel for no reason. I could have called my card and disputed the charge but instead I used my time, gas money and parking money so it could be returned. the way she treated was insane and the reason I WILL...
Read moreThis store offers a great selection of vintage items and unique finds from small businesses, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed coming here in the past, especially for jewelry and trinkets. Unfortunately, my recent visit was deeply disappointing and uncomfortable.
When I visited yesterday with my younger brother, we were immediately profiled by the woman at the counter. Short haired woman with an accent. From the moment we walked in, she followed us closely around the store in a way that felt obvious and invasive and kept looking us up and down. I attempted to remain friendly and casual with her, despite the discomfort she was clearly causing us. I understand and respect the need to protect small business merchandise, but there is a professional and respectful way to handle situations in retail — this was not it. At one point, the woman at the counter whispered something to one of the vendors.
Shortly after, another woman who seemed to be one of the vendors as she was restocking a station. approached us and asked us to leave the items we were planning to buy at the front of the store “to make it easier to shop.” I asked her for a small baggie instead and she insisted in a demanding tone so… We complied. Then she turned to my brother, looked him up and down and at his pockets, and asked, “Are you sure that’s all?” implying suspicion, with no justification.
The entire interaction was unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome and targeted. I hope the store reflects on how they treat all customers, especially younger ones or those who may not fit a certain...

I understand now that the little black dot signifies the type of coffee in the bag, and I appreciate his concern - which was a stark contrast to the lack of care and indifference of the male worker who assisted me both times. Now that I know the ownership does truly care about its products and customers, I’ll keep on highly recommending the Kollective and will return to get more sensory plushies!
I’ve visited several times and love how they showcase local artists in a cute way, but unfortunately they don’t stand behind their artists’ products. I bought a “Rise With A Grind” whole bean coffee for the first time a week or so ago, along with a crotchet sensory stuffed animal and necklace. The other 2 products were great! However, the coffee was NOT “whole bean” as advertised on the packaging. I brought it back and took the owner’s husband to the spot where the coffee was out and showed him 2 out of 4 bags in the front were clearly ground as well, but he was dismissive with my concern (I only buy whole bean, so it would’ve gone to waste) and refused to refund it or notify the maker of the coffee. Needless to say, I don’t think I’ll return and I’m out...
