With all the great choices in south Florida - my wife and I have a rule: we do not go to the same restaurant more than once... But as they say - some rules must have an exception. Le Sorelle in Delray Beach, without a doubt, earned that exception! And then some...
We returned here for the fourth time - this time with another family members. Food quality is superior to many Italian restaurants we've dined in - and with HOME MADE pasta perfected by an authentic Italian family, how can you go wrong!? When every staff member talks with an Italian accent - you know you are in for a treat. :)
What REALLY stands out in this place is the service! Despite the servers working for them, the owners (husband and wife) make a note to visit every table themselves, describe their specials (and believe me when I say you will salivate as they talk about them!), and will most likely take your order themselves.
Presentation of the dishes is beyond beautiful - so don't be surprised if you see people around with cameras making videos.
Chef started us with home made breads and flaming cheese - which I have never seen in any other restaurant in the US. I am pretty sure people passing outside the restaurant heard our "Oohs" and "Ahhs" with every bite.
Moving on to a Truffle Pizza (YES! Real truffle!!!), the husband kept grating the truffle in front of our eyes on the pizza - jokingly stating "Stop me, because my wife will kill me" and kept going and going even with us saying "Stop" multiple times. :) One bite of this masterpiece will give you a glimpse to heaven...
Next we moved to our main courses: I went with with Cacio e pepe served al dente - perfectly rolled in the cheese drum in front of our eyes (!!!) - again, so generously. My wife went for the Tuna steak with sesame, cooked in front us on a salted rock with eggplants (wifey ranked it A+++), and my brother-in-law played it safe with Chicken Parm. He said it was one of the best, but then again - he played it safe. Accompanied with a 2014 Barolo - this meal was yet another success!
There are many Italian restaurants to choose from around us, but to find one that serves home made pasta, along with an outstanding service, and a food quality that is consistently at the highest levels - that is a rare treat!
If you are looking for an authentic experience, ambiance, and be treated like royalty - give this place a shot! I guarantee you will...
Read moreService was nonexistent. Spend your hard earn money where you will get quality service. This is not it! Arrived and there was no host, we literally had to flag someone down since no one even bothered to check the stand or who was waiting. The busser who finally sat us down had to tell a blonde lady who he told me was the manager to take our… she came over no greetings, did not mention the special which in a way worked out I guess since we could not hear anything due to how loud the guy performing was, mind you this is a super small compact place. Received the first round of drinks, the food order took well over an hour not once did a server or the manager (who was technically was our server as she took the order) stop by to see how we were and if we needed anything, we just watched the manager play with a kid throughout the whole time closer to the back, her child I assume… So far no service, loud obnoxious music, and cheap blue lights at a place with that kind of a price point… whole thing was tacky but that is not the most INTERESTING part. Food came and was rather bland, and no sides so I ordered a side of pasta and alfredo, that took 30-45 mins and I kid you not it was the most expensive 10 string of noodles with a light touch of sauce I ever paid for. WE JUST WANTED TO GET OUT at this point, so we told a server, a completely new person to box our food please… we waited and waited so then we were like where is the boxed food we have to leave… NO ONE KNEW WHERE THE FOOD WAS, at the same exact time a group of people were walking out the door, that’s when we saw a server (a totally different server/person) running after that party and told them if they can check their leftovers… guess what, they gave another table our not ever half eaten food! The manager watched all this happen and NOT ONCE STOPPED BY TO SAY SORRY or try and make it better (honestly, I don’t know what world this lady was in, her mind was elsewhere to say the least) … it was a disgrace paying close to $300 for 2 people for the most tasteless experience (service/food/manager).
**A YEAR GOES BY NOW THE OWNER DECIDED TO LEAVE A RESPONSE SAYING ITS A FALSE ACCOUNT AND FALSE ACCUSATIONS wow, no shocker there!!! PLEASE PUT THAT MUCH EFFORT IN YOUR SEVICE, little do you know your response with zero accountability and blame blame blame everyone and everything else says a lot more about you and your tacky...

[Response to the owner's review]
I’m genuinely disappointed by the restaurant’s response to my review. I shared my honest experience, and I will not be pressured into removing it. The way you’ve handled constructive feedback is shocking, and your approach to customer service is now evident for people to evaluate for themselves. I stand by my initial review even more now and believe future customers should be advised not to waste their money here. Rest assured I’m not hesitant to share this experience with my friends and family either. I hope you take this opportunity to reflect on how you engage with your customers moving forward. Cheers! My experience: On November 21st, we visited this restaurant to celebrate my mother's birthday, hoping for a memorable experience. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Our server was too busy attending a large party, and after reminding the busser about our champagne (25 minutes after we had asked for a second glass), a mishandled moment led to the glass breaking. The busser did not ask my mother if she was okay, nor did anyone offer an apology or ask if we needed anything else. They simply cleaned up the mess and, without any further acknowledgment, the waiter quickly came to drop the check, never once inquiring if we were ready to leave or if there was anything else we might want (waiter description: tall man with a beard, heavy).
I was taken back by the cold, impersonal service, but I thought maybe the management would be more understanding. So, I called the restaurant afterward to report the incident, hoping for some resolution. However, to my surprise, the manager wasn’t even aware of the broken glass and the incident had not been reported to them. The manager was polite and offered us a return visit, but after such a disregard for our experience, I didn’t feel comfortable accepting that offer. If the staff can’t be trusted to handle simple situations with care and professionalism, I’m not sure how a return visit would go.
Horrible horrible...
