I went yesterday to this restaurant for brunch with my boyfriend who is on a wheelchair, and we were so excited because Im Colombian. But it was a disaster.
First at all, nobody helped us out with the wheelchair, nobody gave us space, or hold the door for us, or move the chairs in the restaurant so my boyfriend could eat. I did it all. It’s just unacceptable that in 2025 a restaurant is not accesible for someone on a wheelchair. And they didn’t even tried.
I ordered for me a breakfast plate, with a large latte. And for him one pandebono, one empanada de pollo and one jugo de lulo. Well… they didn’t have any pandebono and they were not sure if they had empanadas. So after waiting for a response the employee told me “yes, we only have empanadas” so I had to change my order to two empanadas, one of chicken and one of beef.
The food was on the table, my meal was ok. The eggs had some weird condiment on top that in Colombia we clearly don’t use. And the arepa wasn’t fresh. The latte was not a latte. It was a coffee with milk, no milk foam at all.
The empanada de pollo was good, crispy and fresh, but the empanada de carne didn’t have any beef. Just potatoes. And then the jugo de lulo, tasted like soap. So I added more sugar trying to fix it. And it was just really bad. It was sour and condensed, not crispy, sour and sweet, like a normal lulo juice.
I told the employee about the juice, she said she can give me a coffee stead, my boyfriend wanted a jugo Hit. She said that was not possible. So we had to change it to a tea, who was also so bad that the employee offered adding a ton of honey to make it taste a little better.
So, please don’t lose your money. I spent $40 in this mess including tip. And got my heart broken, because I love eating in Colombian restaurants and supporting them. And I really think in Colombia we make the best coffee. So this bad experience totally...
Read moreI have been trying to get to this cafe for a while.I am a senior and a new customer. I asked the front counter if they had a menu. The lady said to me I have a menu but the prices may not be right and she handed me a menu. I saw one empty table with a chair over it and two other tables which were open for seating. The tables next to the open tables both had people seated at them and the people were eating. Due to Covid I didn’t want to sit next to anyone. I asked a young man who was serving one of the tables if I could sit at the table that had the chair on top of it as he was walking away he said sure. He never offered to take the chair down for me or even Let me know he would be right with me. I found it a little strange but didn’t say anything. I took the chair down and sat at the table. To the best of my knowledge there were four people behind the counter. One was cooking in the kitchen and three were serving at the front counter. I sat there for about 15 minutes while I watched everyone at the front counter only serve the people coming in. None of the employees came over to the table where I sat at to ask me what I wanted. I was so disappointed that I wasn’t provided the service nor the food that I so had been waiting for. I politely got up left the menu on the table and walked out. I will never go to this restaurant again although I was looking forward to a guava pastelillo and an espresso. I’m sorry to say that for a Colombian Cafe they have no cultural manners. ...
Read moreIf I could a zero I would. Weird, highway robbery, un-authentic and uncomfortable- is the best way to describe this place. I’m Colombian- I know what good Colombian food tastes like. It’s over priced, the owner was probably the most rude person I’ve ever met in my life- has no idea what customer service is...I don’t think this place will last long. Run for the hills- do not go to this place. By Colombian standards- not clean, they had books on the one of four little tables they had, the books were torn, dirty and worn, the utensils looked dirty/disgusting. The owner kept rolling her eyes while we ordered- since it was our first time visiting. They gave us 3 oz of colombian chocolate drink she put SHREDDED mozzarella cheese in it, what on earth? They served plantains maduros that looked so small that I felt like they mistakenly thought the order was for my 4 month old. The owner sat at one table with her laptop and all her bags doing bills? We said thank you, no response. I saw someone else post a similar review, I thought they just had one bad experience- nope, the owner is definitely rude. Spend your money somewhere...
