Updated Review: Review Update: After being here for dinner a few times and also to the bar for drinks we went with My mother, sister and wife for a Saturday Brunch. We knew it would be good but didn’t expect it to be as outstanding as it was. My mother had the French Toast. My sister had Waffles with Chicken, My wife had a Turkey BLT and I had a breakfast burrito.

Our server Giano was great. She was friendly and checked on us often. She suggested menu items that we ordered. We would ask for her next time.

Original Review Dec 2022: Sitting at Rocco’s Tacos having a drink, my wife and I started to talk to the women next to us. It turned out that she works at Parks Tavern which is located right next to Rocco’s. She told us how good the food was at Parks so we decided to take my mother there two days later. She was right…the food was amazing.

We arrive early to sit in Worthing Park with my mother and to be at Parks when they open at 5:00. We took a table right at the entrance so we could see outside but be inside. We ordered drinks off the $5 happy hour drink menu. My wife and I both ordered an El Camino Paloma (Blanco Tequila, Pink Grapefruit Soda & Fresh Grapefruit). It’s a sweet tequila drink that has a unique delicious taste. We also ordered a shot of Corazon which I added to my drink to make it a stronger, less sweet drink. My mother got the Ultimate Espresso Martini (Vodka, Mr. Black, Deke’s Cold Brew & Vanilla) which is a drink she often has at home. It was as good as the ones I make for her at home. They both had a second drink.

From the $5 happy hour menu we got a few items to share; Thick Cut Potato Chips, Baked Mac & Cheese and the Pull Pork BBQ Sliders which comes with three sliders.

For our main meals my mother got Classic Caesar Salad. My wife ordered the Veggie Burger (Aged Vermont Cheddar, Tomato-Onion Jam & Wild Arugula) with a salad as her side and I got the Veggie Burger with the Hand Cut Fries.

As I said, the food is amazing. Everything from the veggie burgers to the fries was homemade. My mother thinks anchovies are part of a Classic Caesar Salad and it didn’t have any on top of her salad. The server said the dressing is made with them. My mother asked if she could get a couple to put on top and the server went and got a few for my mother to add to her salad. My wife said it was the best veggie burger she’s ever had and she has had lots of them.

We all took a little food home. We did order a crazy amount of food but wanted to taste as much as we could. We enjoyed our leftovers for lunch the next day.

The price of everything is reasonable and the happy hour prices are crazy cheap for what you get. It’s nice when you meet someone and they give you a suggestion and it turns out to be as good (or better) than they said. We will go back and I will likely order the same items. But I would love to try the Fried Chicken Sandwich, Pulled Pork Sandwich and the Fish n’ Chips. We might need a few trips to Parks Tavern.

The bar is large and got busy as soon as Parks opened. There were people standing behind the people sitting at the bar. If you want to sit at the bar you need to arrive early. As other reviews have said, Parks is loud. If you don’t want the high noise level, take a table outside.

Our server was the woman we met at Rocco’s and I would like to give her a big thank you for the great recommendation...

An easy 5 stars for Park Tavern. {If its any consolation, I am writing this review 2 days after visiting). My wife and I were looking for a good spot for brunch and boy were we glad we picked this place. We were seated right away and our server Kamila promptly came to greet us. We opted to go with the endless mimosas, which was delivered quickly, full bottle and ice bucket for the win! I ordered the breakfast pizza which was excellent and just the right size for my unusually large appetite that morning. My wife went with the farmers omelette, and from the looks on her face, it was delicious. Now, with that all said, let me get to the part that impressed me the most. The staff.

The staff was happy. You heard that right. Happy with a capital H. It's far too often you visit a restaurant and you see stressed and miserable staff who only put on fake smiles to boost their tip. That is not the case here. We were seated near the hostess stand where I was able to observe pretty much the whole front of house staff. They had great attitudes, positive energy, acute customer awareness and you could tell every single one had a smile under their mask. I have managed several restaurants, and this vibe took me back on a nostalgic trip to my experience working at a family owned fine dining restaurant in Maryland. We felt like family, and the manager treated us as such. The Park Tavern has that vibe. Clearly they have great management and ownership. From the bus boys who were joking around with each other to keep thier energy high, to the hostesses who kept thier eyes peeled for fresh tables, to the manager who was constantly circling the dining room interacting with guests and staff, Park Tavern hit the ball out of the park! Big shout out to Kamila, who helped seal the deal with world class service. We will be back, and we will bring friends. Edit: I hope the owners read this review to the staff, as I haven't been this impressed with a...

We’ve been wanting to try this place for Sunday Brunch for quite sometime now. It’s a shame that I couldn’t tell you how good the food or the service is and I guess now we would never know! We made a reservation for Sunday Brunch at 12.30. I understand a lot of the restaurants on the Ave are busy for brunch and I can understand if we have to wait a few minutes for the tables to clear because the establishment is busy with lines or if the reservations were not available to book because they were so busy. But this is what happen when we got there for our reservation at 12.30, greeted at the front by the hostess (didn’t get her name, one of the darker lady). My wife told her we had an opentable reservation at 12.30. And she said that the table is not available (we understand that they were busy). So we asked on how long it would be and she replied with “I don’t know”, there’s a table with reservation with bigger party but there’s 30 other reservations that have to take care off before they could get to us. We were just stunned!! We didn’t even know how to reply to her. I looked around there were 1 booth that would hold 6 people open but she did say that they have another bigger party ahead but they’re not here. There were a couple table packing there food to go but she didn’t offer. I guess if we had to suggest an improvement? Please don’t put your establishment on opentable if you don’t know how to manage the reservations. And find a better way to answer your potential paying guests than “I don’t know how long but there’s 30 other reservations that we have to take care off before we get to your...

Horrible experience and we wont be back. First of all, the place is extremely loud. For brunch, we could barely hear the other persons I. Our party that we’re across the table or even sitting right next to us. Next, the service was awful. Our server waited a very long time to actually take our order. Then the food arrived, and it was complete disappointment. We ordered a French toast that was horrendous. If it you could even call it that… It was a loaf of brioche bread cut in half and fried on both sides. They put a berry/lemon compote on top, which tasted nice, but the inside bread that was almost at least 8 inches, had zero taste to it. No cinnamon, no nutmeg, no egg, no butter, nothing. In fact, if you grabbed a little piece of it and put it in your mouth, it was like eating cotton. Completely tasteless. Yuck! The maple syrup that came with it was clearly not real maple syrup, because it was watery and tasted like something else. Look the pictures attached. If you look online at the simplest dictionary, French toast is “a dish of sliced bread soaked in beaten eggs and often milk or cream, then pan fried”. Keyword here are sliced, eggs, milk/cream. None of which were part of this dish. Perhaps call it a french brioche with compote on top. Finally, the booths were extremely uncomfortable. Our party of six was sat at this booth in the back, which probably would seat four maximum. So we were right up against each other, hitting each our elbows, and sweating because there was no air or breeze, and with the leather seats, it was awful.
