Read moreI had an absolutely fantastic experience at Throw Social in Delray Beach, FL that I can't wait to share! From the moment we stepped in, it was clear that this place had something special to offer.
Let's start with the food - it was an absolute delight. The flavors were on point, and each dish seemed to be crafted with care. While some of the drinks were more to my liking than others, the overall beverage selection was varied and interesting.
The wait staff were generally pleasant and attentive, although there was a slight hiccup. One member of our dining party of 10 had to repeatedly ask for a side order of fries. Unfortunately, it arrived after everyone had already finished their meal. We also had to wait over an hour to have our bill closed out. The Manager came out to assist and was very helpful. Despite this blip, the overall service was good.
Even though we encountered some rain, it didn't put a damper on the atmosphere. The fact that the outdoor areas were covered meant that we could still enjoy the vibe of the restaurant and the company of our group. This outdoor cover was a brilliant idea as it allowed us to enjoy the best of both worlds.
I must commend them for being prepared for the South Florida weather. With water stations strategically placed and fans providing a refreshing breeze, they truly understand the needs of their guests in the warm climate.
The music from the DJ was an absolute hit - their selection had us dancing in our seats throughout the entire visit. The energy they brought to the atmosphere was infectious and added a layer of enjoyment to the overall experience.
One of the highlights was the plethora of opportunities for fantastic pictures and selfies. The attention to aesthetic details gave the entire place an Instagram-worthy backdrop. It was like every corner was designed to make your photos pop.
Leaving was bittersweet, but I'm already looking forward to my return. There's so much more I want to explore here. The thought of trying out more of their delicious food and experiencing the cabana seating in better weather is exciting. And let's not forget the ax throwing and darts - those are definitely on my list for the next visit.
Throw Social truly lives up to its name. It's a place where you can relax, have fun, and enjoy good food and drinks. With great music, excellent service, and a myriad of experiences waiting to be had, this place has won me over and I look forward...
Read moreI think it should be noted that this location does NOT have axe-throwing. Given that they proved incapable of making a burger, serving drinks, talking to customers, or closing a bill, maybe it's best that we don't entrust them with axes.
Some of the food was good. Chicken tacos and the Hawaiian Huli Huli wings were great. The buffalo chicken flatbread is best described as weird. The Palm Beach Burger, which was supposed to have a 1/3 lb patty, cheddar cheese, and fried onions, came instead with a slider patty, unmelted American cheese, and no onions. All of our food, including the two appetizers, arrived at the same time.
I attempted to order a Prickly Pear Margarita , which I was told was part of THE WALL, and therefore needed a bracelet. I gave them my card to connect to that bracelet. I never got the bracelet. That proved to be irrelevant because the sign said they were out of the margaritas at THE WALL anyway, asking with at least six other drinks. The four of us managed to order a total of six drinks during the two hours we were there. That is an incredible failure. We're good for at least 12 in that amount of time.
I noticed that my bank notified me of a charge of 148.36 at the time that we ordered. I pointed out to the waiter that I thought he may have closed out our bill when he tried to pre-authorize my card for that bracelet. He said he didn't know how it worked and he'd tell the manager.
The "operations manager," not wanting to take too long of a break from her vaping friends at the bar, didn't bother to understand the situation at all. She came over and explained to me how restaurants work.
This could be a fun place. Too bad the service was so bad and that the "operations manager" was so condescending. It's also too bad that everyone involved felt good about serving that burger.
Update:
I was not refunded for the burger. You also completely ignored the two issues that printed me to write the review, namely the failure to provide service and the managers inability to talk to the customer to understand the issue before condescendingly explaining how...
