I would have just spoken to a manager on the phone about the concerns at hand, but the employee on the phone let me know at 8pm on a Friday night there wasn’t one and they wouldn’t be back until the following day.
Called around 7pm on Thursday evening to place an order for a box set because I got the advertisement in my mail and thought that was a great idea to add some volume to my Christmas party the following Friday evening at 7pm. So 24 hours in advance for a pizza order. I make the order, I ask if they provide delivery and they said yes so I wanted to participate in that as it alleviated some of the stress while hosting a party. I ask to change the pepperoni rolls to cheesy rolls last minute before hanging up and the employee lets me know they couldn’t change the order any longer, no biggie that’s my fault for not saying it earlier, they charge my card and we move on.
7pm on Friday comes and my guest are arriving and I do not see the pizza being delivered. 7:12 I call, same employee answers the phone and I explain that I haven’t seen the pizza and was wondering if they had left yet. They do not have an order for me and proceed to ask my name three times and have me spell my last name a fourth time. They then ask what I had and I explain the box set (which is a larger order) and they go oh yea I think I remember your order from yesterday… IDK why I can’t see it now… I then am getting nervous due to a room full of people for my party being here without the order even being ready. I ask when it will be arriving after I give them the whole order again and they say between 30-40 min. Great, we can work with that! 40 min pass and no pizza… I call the store and the employee lets me know that the pizza looks like it may be getting done now and then it’s being boxed.
At this point I ask for a manager and they let me know that they don’t have one at 8pm on a Friday night and he would be back tomorrow…. I asked if there was a shift lead, a key holder, someone in charge and they continued to tell me no. I asked who closed the building and locked the door at the end of the night and was told just the employees that work there…. I asked when the pizza would be arriving and they stated they weren’t sure as they were very busy…. This is why I ordered 24 hours in advance… They then state that they will have the delivery driver stop working and doing their job so they can deliver my order instead. I thanked them and hung up.
Another 30 min pass the order finally arrives, it’s hot! We’re all excited, I get everything plated for my guest and then the chocolate chip dessert pizza is missing which is apart of...
Read moreI got here for the buffet a fair bit after the lunch rush today, so most of the pizzas weren't fresh out of the oven, which is perfectly fine, because it was really fricken good anyways! And that's saying something when your pizza is so incredibly good, it still tastes great even after a bit of time on the serving tray! Proof positive they make perfect pizzas! I will HAVE to come back at a time that is during the lunch or dinner rush so I can try their pizza super duper fresh! They got a pretty well stocked salad bar too, lots of options to choose from, and I love a big salad! They were still bringing out a couple hot pies as I ate, but I already made my plates of food anyways, and had a bit too much on my plates already, which is my own doing. I still made sure to try their cherry dessert calzone/stromboli thingy when it got brought out, that was DELICIOUS!!! The deserts look and taste crazy good! I wish I had left room for more! I'll remember to next time. Gotta make a smaller salad and a little less pizza, because I wanna try the other two options it looked like they had! Plus, they have themed specialty pizzas for each month, which is pretty dang awesome! You gotta try ordering one of them at least one a month, everybody should get to try them all! I like CiCi's buffet just fine, it's like the Starbucks of pizza buffets: decent pizza, decent salad choices, actually really good chicken soup and brownies, just a decent and streamlined quality. It's good, but there are better out there. And Double Dave's is infinitely better quality! It is absolutely worth the extra little itty bitty cost to come here instead! They'll be seeing more of me during the next month or so while I am in town, that's for sure!
Read moreI am here right now and could hardly bear to put down my hot, fresh, delicious pizza to type this, but since it’s always easier to complain and even easier to forget to compliment, it’s worth it to stop and take the time. (I’m eating in between typing, lol) This place is amazing!! Just watched them roll out 3 fresh pizzas even though there were 5 already out. Salad bar clean, fresh, inviting. Disposable cutlery for the covid crowd and regular silverware for the bold, mask sign on the door and all employees wearing mask upon my entry. (Some guests weren’t but you’re here to eat, come on people) SO much better than Cici’s, we need to support this local gem and make sure it survives covid! My only suggestions (besides a timed air freshener in the old-and-dank, but clean, restroom- they’re cheap and positive effect cannot be overstated) would be a prominent sign at the silverware /plates asking guests to please wear their face covering when accessing the buffet, and perhaps providing a box of gloves there for the covid concerned. This would give otherwise paranoid people a sense of safety, and personally I’d be willing to pay a small price increase to defray the cost (50 cent increase in price seems fair). Advertising these covid enhancements on the website as well could lure in those otherwise hesitant to dine in. Other than that, y’all are doing a great job and I love this “last of the Mohicans” old-style pizza buffet!!!
Edit: forgot to add there’s already a big bottle of hand sanitizer at the plates, and forgot to mention the high quality of the salad bar- the cucumbers, tomatoes, green olives, mushrooms, and cheese make my salad perfect. :)
Edit #2: Another idea is either bottles of Lysol at each table or a sign saying something like, “We clean our tables between patrons, but are happy to provide a courtesy disinfectant spray to your table before you sit,...
