This place has been on my radar since moving to Denver 3 months ago, and thanks to a small delay at a nearby nail salon, I could stop here to try it out!
Coffee Sarap (@coffeesarap on Instagram; I recommend checking them out there, too!) is owned by two friends who reunited in Colorado after life took them on separate paths after high school. Their story is sweet, and their drinks reflect that, with a beautiful balance of culture and gourmet.
I ordered the Mestiza latte, and you bet I'll be back for more. It reminded me of the Mexican chocolate, chocolate Abuelita. This is no surprise because the cinnamon really hit wonderfully. My husband ordered the Pandan latte, which I tried and was surprised. It carried a very unique flavor (thanks to the pandan), so if you're into floral, grassy notes in your coffee, this may be the one for you.
The overall ambiance was vibrant, what you'd expect on a Saturday spring morning. The staff was helpful, and while it was crowded, they did a phenomenal job of keeping the place tidy and clean and the drinks flowing in a timely manner.
10/10....

I probably spent around 15 minutes total during my visit, which just included ordering and receiving my beverage (cold brew black, no creamer or foam) so that was a bit longer than I'd expected.
The worst part of my experience was unfortunately the coffee. This was the siltiest cold brew I've ever had. Basically to the point that it was not drinkable without tasting many tiny grains of coffee. I have taken a couple sips and the silt is settling... Extremely slowly. So it's getting to a drinkable point, but wow. I couldn't believe the quality of the coffee from a business. Someone's house? Yes, I could see that.
Update: after waiting for the silt to settle it was still not consumable. There was a thick layer at the bottom once I...
Read moreI recently had the chance to visit the new Filipino coffee shop in Denver after missing the grand opening while I was out of town. I finally made it in a few weeks later on a Saturday morning, and I'm so glad I did!
I tried an iced coffee and a matcha drink from their Valentine's menu, both of which were delightful. I can't wait to return and explore more of their offerings, especially since they are located in a central area of Denver.
The vibe of the shop is adorable, and while it was quite crowded when we arrived, we were fortunate enough to find a seat shortly after placing our order. I noticed the line was almost out the door, and it just kept getting longer, which is a testament to how popular this place is becoming!
Having previously tried their mobile bar in Castle Rock about two years ago, I’m excited to see how this Filipino-inspired shop grows over the next year. They are clearly doing big things, and I look forward to...
