The worst costumer experience I have ever had was working with Mackenzie at this salon. I was scheduled 10:00 am for extensions for 5-7 hours today. She texted me at 1:00 in the morning last night (9 hours before my appointment) to tell my my appointment was actually at 12:30. My family and I drove 4.5 hours from Wyoming for my appointment and so moving my appointment to 12:30 would put us back to our home around midnight. My appointment had been scheduled for months in advanced. My family drove down the night before and stayed at a hotel. She claimed my mother in law and sister in law ( who has the exact same name as me) were supposed to be that morning at 10:00 instead of me. They had canceled their appointments. Mackenzie acknowledged their cancelled appointments, but said she still thought they were at 10 and even though she cancelled them, she still couldn't do me until 12:30.
When she first made my appointment she said, "I am going to start you first because you take the longest. Then your sister in law is after. Usually when it's this long, I will order you lunch in." This wouldn't make sense to say if she had originally scheduled me at 12:30. I am guessing the got the name, Ally Orr, confused. My sister in law and I both have the same name. When my sister in law cancelled her appointment it should have been her 12:30 appointment, but Mackenzie cancelled the 10:00 appointment, which was mine. After trying to offer several solutions, she just never responded.
Finally, Mackenzie said she felt awkward after all of us and didn't want to do my hair anymore, but refused to give me my $500 deposit back. So she is making the choice to cancel my appointment, but refuses to refund my deposit. I offered to come at 10:30, 11:00, or use the $500 deposit towards just buying the hair extensions from her and doing them somewhere else, and Mackenzie just still never responded. I showed up to the salon today at 11:30, and she never came. Her coworkers said she wasn't going to come in today. I requested my refund on Venmo (app used to pay her the deposit) and she declined it.
I feel like I have done everything I can to try to help reach a solution. She has not once apologized, or tried to reach a solution. She told me deposits are non refundable, even though I never canceled my appointment and drove 4.5 hours to get it done. She is the one that cancelled the appointment the morning of. At this point, I will not get my hair done at Rebel Salon. I would just like my deposit back since she is refusing to do my extensions, and then I will take my business elsewhere. I have never been treated this unprofessionally by an individual I am trying to give my...
Read moreLauren DiManna is the best! She was recommended by a friend after I had a very bad cut at a different salon and was needing someone to fix it. She was able to do a root touch up and match the color exactly in one attempt. She was also able to cut a "curtain" bang and framing around my face exactly how I wanted. And, she was able to cut my thick hair well without a harsh, triangular shape to it like a lot of stylists some times do on thick hair. Not only is she a great stylist, but she is very personable as well. I saw her on a Friday afternoon/evening (when most people are probably exhausted after a long work week) and she was chatting with me, asking questions, and made the experience overall very enjoyable!...
Read moreI gave two stars for a nice highlight but very pricey. I had an appt scheduled for 2 months to get hair extensions. A few days before my scheduled extension appt., I received a text from Emily saying that we will have to reschedule bc she couldn’t find a match to my hair. Normally, I would be understanding but I happen to know that she started looking for my extensions after she highlighted my hair which was 10 days before my extension appt. when I asked her how we should reschedule, I never heard back from her. Zero communication. So disappointed bc I had a big event coming up where I had planned to have my extensions in. Her lack of professionalism is disappointing. I won’t recommend Emily Sinha’s...
