I ate with my hands the Satay Lamb (3 pieces), small Chinese Hot and Sour Soup and Kung Pao Chicken (extra extra spicy) with brown rice. It was delivered to my door as I was house sitting in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of the Denver. It was quick, free delivery and came in less than 30 minutes The delivery person was very nice.
The food was hot. It was delicious. The portions were large with enough leftover for another meal. The lamb was tender and outstanding. The prices were not too high. I ate with my hands yo.
The biggest drawback was that there were no utensils or napkins in the bag, which made for an interesting experience in eating the food. The utensils would be a very important part of a meal, especially a meal consisting of soup. I drank it from the bowl like an animal. Oh how I dreamt of plasticware ... even a spork would have been heavenly. One takes eating utensils for granted.
It was wacky eating rice and slippery chicken with my hands. I tried to jury rig something to eat from and a smallish bit of cardboard taken from the delivery brown paper bag support bottom worked somewhat until it became soggy with peanut sauce etc. My hands burned with the spiciness. Don't rub your eyes after eating extra spicy Kung Pao Chicken with your hands.
I will have to give it another try one day as I have my eye on trying the lemongrass chicken. I can't get over the fact that there were no utensils. It sort of soured me. I'm soured. The food was good but adding 'hand flavoring' to every bite soured me.
Ask for utensils. You'll be...
Read moreI'm so disappointed. I go here at least once a month because I absolutely LOVE their lo mein and egg rolls. We have also been ordering it at work for our month end lunches which is typically over $200+ worth of food. Today, we did just that, ordered food for our employees for end of month and today, it was awful! They forgot a side of rice and our egg rolls (right there, that's over $20 worth of food we did not get). We called and were told we could come back for our missing items but they are not close, we take the drive because we have always liked it, and the parking is awful so we decided to just forget about the missing items.
The lo mein was super overcooked and had absolutely no spice and barely any sauce. We ordered 4 lo meins, ALL were like that.
I'm posting this review in hopes that if they have a new cook or something, that they can try to fix the problems. I have never had an issue here and I'm willing to give it one more shot when I'm craving the lo mein again, but if it tastes like this, I will not go back. I'm also not sure we will be placing anymore large orders there since items were missing.
Today was a major disappointment so I hope the next time, things will go back to how they were or you'll lose a pretty...
Read moreI'm not really sure how to rate this. I was even conflicted in leaving this review but I know that if I would have read this. I would have appreciated this before I went... Getting straight to the point. The food was pretty good. The service was also pretty good. The price is of the beer. We're buy one, get 1 free which I didn't know about which was a great surprise. Unfortunately I saw a few mice running around. I know this may not be a big deal for some people. Myself, I am very afraid of mice, and this was during the daylight when people were in the restaurant. I'm no pest expert but just makes me think if they're running around when people are around in the restaurant, there must be an abundance. It took my everything not to jump up and scream. I just told my boyfriend to make sure everything's good and I quickly abandoned my food and went to the car. He did notify them what we saw. They said they are aware of the problem and we'll call pest control. They let him know that unfortunately, it's just a problem in all restaurants. I really hope this is not true. I personally am very disgusted by mice as well so please take this for what...
