Hey, coffee enthusiasts! I've got the scoop on a java joint that'll have you perked up and ready to conquer the world. I was visiting Denver and needed a pick-me-up. Now let's dig into the cup of chai.
Let's talk about my liquid companion for the day—the iced chai latte. Now, this ain't your run-of-the-mill iced chai. Oh no, it's different, but in a good way. I took a sip, and my taste buds were like, "Whoa, hold up! What's going on here?" It had a unique twist that added a little extra oomph to my chai game. That chai left an aftertaste that I didn't mind but would like less of. Nonetheless, the twist on this chai was addictive. Maybe I would get used to the taste after a few more rounds.
Now, let's dive into the vibes, baby! Little Owl Coffee knows how to set the stage for a chill coffee rendezvous. Picture this: a coffee shop connected to a lobby where you can vibe, chill, and sink into the comfiest sofas on this side of the town. It's like they took all the cozy vibes in the universe and infused them into their space. The ambiance is fire, my friends, with an aesthetic on point and vibes that make you want to stay forever. So minimally appealing, with the smell of fresh grounds passing by touching the tip of your nostril hairs.
Speaking of chill, the baristas at Little Owl Coffee were as cool as a cucumber. Though there seemed to be a new worker on the scene, they still knew how to sling those java jolts with finesse. Maybe that's why my chai took a slightly different path—it's all part of the adventure, right? As a first-timer, I'll take it with a grain of salt and appreciate the unique experience.
The flavors were there, the caffeine kick was on point, and the overall experience left me wanting more. Little Owl Coffee knows how to deliver a cup of liquid joy that'll keep you coming back for more. In a world full of average coffee joints, Little Owl Coffee is a breath of fresh air with a side of caffeine. Embrace the unexpected, soak up the vibes, and let Little Owl Coffee show you a new world of liquid nirvana. Cheers, my fellow caffeine...
Read moreMy wife found this place on an IG reel or a tiktok, so we decided to drive from the suburbs to downtown to try this little owl spot out. It's what we do, we’re foodies. We like to try new places, and coffee’s my weakness! First off, It's really not easily seen from the street unless you drive real slow, so we parked on the other side of the block and walked to it with our 8 year old. Upon walking in, we WERE NOT greeted, ok that's fine, maybe they were busy? Nope there was absolutely no customers ahead of us.. still no eye contactfor at least 90 seconds until I actually approach the register. We order, I pay, and still tip I might add. Waiting for our macchiatos, a couple of other ppl walk-in and THEY we're definitely greeted. They (the other customers) asked if they should wear their masks, which the guy barista said in a loud annoyed tone I felt was directed at us (maskless), "yes, please do" or some sort of response similar to that. Now I don't know if it was that we were Hispanic and I'm tattooed or the fact that we went in this small coffee shop maskless, but I definitely felt awkward as did my wife. I go to my local Starbucks and they may be busy as hell and still greet everyone coming in the door! Maybe they can work on the whole customer service greeting thing and maybe their not so judge mental actions. I can definitely take my money elsewhere which I definitely will!! I'll definitely NEVER be back to this place! Also, if you're maskless and/or even Hispanic, I'd avoid this place at all cost! Small sizes...
Read moreUpdated (2023): Overall I find Little Owl quite hyped as a coffee shop. It's cute, slick, yup I get it, but it's also cold, lifeless, and honestly, its coffee is hit or miss.
The staff here has been consistently unenthusiastic, offering lukewarm service and not interested in engaging with customers, but chat with each other from time to time. The small shop is dim, chilly, with a few bar seats obviously designed for customers with a laptop, not a friend. The atmosphere is simply not welcoming. The small curbside patio feels so much better and that's where I prefer to sit, but the seats are often taken because yeah no one wants to sit inside.
Over a few visits, I had a cortado and three seasonal drink: Honey Basil Latte, Vietnamese spIced Coffee, and Golden Goose (ginger turmeric latte). Cortado was great; honey basil latte was ok, although the big handleless cup is quite impractical despite looking cool; Vietnamese iced coffee was generic and pricey, and the ginger turmeric latte was the worst, bland in flavor, texture and presentation that I ditched it after one sip.
Original (2020): Nice little coffee shop in downtown, pretty close to Union Station. Friendly service and great coffee, with some special seasonal floors. I tried their pumpkin spice latte and it's pretty delicious. The price is on the higher end though. At the moment, it's take-out only since there are no seatings either inside or...
