I booked Fluff for my wedding weekend glam for myself as well as my bridesmaids. Some of the main selling points when I first booked was the flexibility with payments & services and the amazing aesthetic of the salon. I had no idea how much I would actually love the services I booked as well! The months leading up to the event I had so many questions and last minutes changes and Brittany was always so quick to respond and so overly kind. When it was finally time for the trial Ethan was scheduled to do my hair and Jami was doing my makeup. After sending an inspo picture and having a quick chat they both got to work. They were both so fun, relaxed, and we connected quickly. They put me at ease for something I was honestly a little nervous about. I couldn’t believe how much I loved my trial! It made me even more excited for the day. The day of the wedding came and we had so much fun getting ready at Fluff! We brought some breakfast and mimosas, played our own music and had the whole upstairs all to ourselves! A lot of the bridesmaids got blowouts and they were so happy to have this as a service to choose since usually that’s not an option. Everyone looked stunning! Ethan made my hair even more whimsical and romantic than the trial and I couldn’t believe how much I loved it. Jami really listened to all my concerns (and I had a lot haha) and I have never felt so beautiful! As someone who doesn’t wear a ton of makeup, she made me feel natural yet so glam and I felt so comfortable all day! I barely had do any touch ups. I’ve already had a few brides reach out asking about my hair & makeup because they both photographed so well. We had the best experience and I would recommend Fluff to any bride. I came into Fluff Bar to see Aaryn M to freshen up my color and trim my ends a bit. This was my first visit to the location and oh my, the minute I stepped in, I felt like royalty already! The salon is a beautiful remodel of a lavish residence, with high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, Roman era columns and stylish decor. My salon service room made me feel like I was sitting in a high end living room, with a floor to ceiling mirrored fireplace and cozy chairs. Sipping on bubbly and going over consultation with my stylist, I think the only thing missing was someone playing the harp in the corner. We decided on the color and cut combination, and started off by getting my crazy dark roots under control (as I am a platinum blonde, but naturally a brunette). A few toner sessions later with AlterEgo Italy, a new hair color brand for me (which is fabulous, might I add!) a nice relaxing deep conditioning treatment, a sexy a-line cut and a blowout, I felt like a million bucks! Aaryn was very knowledgeable with the hair coloring process, making sure my hair would not receive any damage and making sure I was comfortable the whole session. We spend a wonderful 4 hours together over conversations and laughter, a time absolutely worth the final result of a silver blonde with a hint of steel and slightly deeper shade of silver for the roots. I have been going to this hair salon for years. Ethan was my stylist for most of that time and when he moved out-of-state, the service went downhill for me. The first thing was the huge jump in price increases; I went to paying from $70-$80 for a retouch and bang cut to $125+$15. I wasn’t given notice during any part of the process (booking, confirmations or at the cash register) and the drastic price changes weren’t posted/emailed/text. I brought this up to my new stylist and it sounded like I wasn’t the only one who was upset. I understand the cost of business goes up but that price is more than I pay for my monthly phone bill (which I use every hour of my waking day) and more than my car insurance. It’s a pretty large jump in pricing with zero notice from their management. I was on the fence about continuing as a client after this happened. What put me over the edge was showing up at 8am for my normal hair appointment and being no showed, no called after I had already paid for parking. Not only did I not receive the service I had scheduled for weeks ahead of time, I never received an apology or a simple call to rebook from my new stylist or management/owner. Further, my stylist posted herself having drinks on Instagram that same day she ‘called out sick.’ Fluff has lost my loyalty and they have lost a regular paying client they’ve had for years due to both of these circumstances.
