This review is for the Market Location just off of 16th street in Downtown Denver.
The staff, bud/concentrate quality, and prices are all great here at HLH. I'd been going to the market location for just about a year, between 2-4 times/week, and never once had a bad experience. I was there enough that John, the manager, and I started to have a rapport that continued throughout the rest of the staff, always remembering my name and quick to offer a warm smile. That alone will get me back to any business right away, but the fact that it happened every time I visited has cemented HLH in my mind as one of Denver's best.
The quality is top notch on both house extracts and concentrates, consistently testing in upper 80's/90's and with a high that mirrors the content. I have also purchased free leaf bud, and it was some of the best looking/tasting/cured bud I've smoked here in town, rivaled only by a few.
The pricing is very reasonable, and I never had a problem with availability that couldn't be solved by a similar or better strain waiting. In addition, the crew in store is always willing to chat about the best bang for your buck and is incredibly knowledgeable with the extraction process and weed in general. I never felt like I wasn't talking to an older sibling that wanted to see me have a great high.
When the pandemic hit, I wasn't able to continue my support as I no longer work close to the shop, but figured I would at least give back in a google review, as that shop holds a special place in my mind.
Definitely go check it out, and then hit Illegal Pete's just around the corner to satisfy...
Read moreWhen I first went in there as a medical patient I told them that I was interested in mostly Edibles, and that specifically I wanted to be able to take my THC in pill form. They told me they had just sold out of all of their THC pills and were running a little low on edibles. Based on that, I assumed that they were going to get more in. It seems as though this was an incorrect assumption, if you are a medical patient and looking for anything that isn't flower or concentrate don't go here! Not only will they lie to you about what they will have in stock for you, as a medical patient, but they will also lock you into 30 days with them under that guise. They will not, under any circumstances, end your membership early. Even if you explain to them that your medical needs being met were misrepresented at the time of sign up. When I called with my concerns I was met with the suggestion to go other places until my 30 days are up since other places will give me their membership deals my first time visiting them.
As a medical patient I expected to receive compassion, as a human I expected to receive respect. I don't feel like I got either of these things, and am extremely dissatisfied with my experience with them.
Edit: I had my membership for 2 weeks and they didn't have THC pills in once. Minimal edible selection every...
Read moreBuyer beware: when confronted with shoddy product [Pyramid] the staff at High Level Health shed the pretense of matching t-shirts and health-first brochures, and desend into street-level D-boy mentality.
I recently purchased two Pyramid cartridges, but when I tried to use it it wouldn't pull. I called to express my issue and an associate confided that he tried the product and experienced the same. I was encouraged to come to the store for what I thought would be an exchange or a refund. No, I was comped a battery of the same brand, Pyramid. Upon using it I could taste something akin to butane. When I called back they told me that technically the product "worked" and that was nothing more to be done. So, I went to the store for a third time -- I was offered another battery. To recap, their solution to product that was admitting shoddy was to offer me more shoddy product and an opportunity to by a different brand.
I expect this risk in a street deal, but under the guise of business, quality and integrity behind the products you sell, this entire experience didn't require the licenses, leases, and overhead that your "business" requires -- just a trap boy...
