Lucile’s Creole Cafe in Denver is nothing short of magical. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with the kind of warmth that makes you feel like family. The charming, cozy atmosphere is like stepping into a little corner of New Orleans—full of soul, comfort, and great music.

But what truly made our experience unforgettable was the incredible hospitality from our servers, Brad and Jersey. These two were an absolute duo of delight. Picture this: Brad, with the calm confidence of a seasoned jazz musician, recommending the shrimp and grits like it was a secret passed down through generations. Then there’s Jersey—bouncing around with the energy of a second-line parade, cracking jokes about powdered sugar being “Denver snow” while expertly balancing three plates at once.

At one point, Brad noticed we were trying to decide between two dishes, and he and Jersey staged a hilarious (and completely friendly) "gumbo vs. biscuits" debate right at our table—complete with mock Southern accents and napkin flags. It ended in laughter (and us ordering both, of course).

The food was outstanding—creamy, flavorful shrimp and grits, buttery biscuits that melt in your mouth, and don’t even get me started on the beignets. Perfectly golden, airy, and topped with a snowfall of sugar. Paired with their rich chicory coffee, it was the kind of brunch you think about for days afterward.

Lucile’s isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a full-on experience. Whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, you’ll leave full of food, joy, and stories to tell. Thanks again to Brad and Jersey for turning a great meal into a truly memorable morning. We can’t wait to come back!

I wanted to try something new. Well new I had. I'm in love and can't wait to go back for lunch or dinner. I'm from Pueblo and as far as I know only one place in Pueblo serves Eggs Benedict. Lucile's does it better and correctly, and I thank them. Also they have several twists on this great dish. The Eggs Jennifer is the twist I tried and loved. So it started with the English Muffin, spinach, tomato, poached egg, hollandaise sauce and in-between the eggs a very healthy portion of avocado. Now for the fried potatoes.......they truly are the best I have ever had at a restaurant, in my sixty plus years of life. I'm salivating just thinking about them. If you leave hungry then I'm truly perplexed. They start you out with huge homemade biscuits that have your choice of butter or a strawberry jam that has just the right amount of sweetness. It's almost a meal in it's self. The wait staff explained that they like to start you with dessert first, we didn't ask about what that entailed but it may have had something to do with the donuts that were on the menu. I'm now sorry that I didn't listen and missed out. Their restroom was clean with very hot water to wash your hands with. I parked right out front on the street. They have outdoor as well as indoor seating. The prices for what you get were very fair. Service was excellent and the food was fresh and from what I could tell everything is homemade. You can't go wrong with this special restaurant. I would also recommend it for something different to impress visiting family or friends. What can I say about this place !! Terrible unwelcoming service can’t believe how unprofessional management can be at this place okay let me tell you “Danielle” the manager came up to me and my family with 2 kids confronting me about being rude to his server , but she didn’t know what actually had happened, her server came up to us saying we couldn’t sit on his table because he needed his table and said to get out to the street and wait there for our to go that’s when my husband said just bring me my drinks so I can get the F out of here he was already disappointed since we got there they never told us welcome have you been to this place before never offered menus we came to this place because of a recommendation if they wanted us to leave they could of just rushed to make our drinks just like how they were rushing us to get out honestly I can even say they were racist!!!!server went up to his manager and told her we were insulting him and making it a big deal. She went out confronting us and then said why did you tell my server to shut the f up and my husband said we never said that and explained what I just said she just said well for a to go you can not sit here to wait for a to go !!
