Probably the most dangerous place to stop for fuel or McDonald's, in all of Denver. A month ago I was riding my bike on the on the trails and I stopped for a Coke at the Phillips 66. I parked my bike next to the door. Predators were watching and ready as soon as the door closed behind me I could see somebody getting on my bike. I reopened the door but it was already too late the the predator apparently had been ready waiting for an opportunity, jumped on my bike quickly and pedaled away across the street and disappeared behind the storage facility. Despite reporting it to the police and having a tracker on it, last location attached, I've been unsuccessful located it. It's a pretty unique bike it's called a Specialized that's 27.5 inch with disc brakes and has an electric motor on it. I have since familiarize myself with this area. I met 'Lucky' a 55-yo man with medium build smoky gray med beard 5,11 180lb. Lucky is self proclaimed boss of the territory and told me about the organized bike theft in the area , he offered to ask around to try to find the bike. There are several vagrant tents and camps and rvs in the area. Screenshot attached of some of the main camps that I can see. Apparently this is attractive to the Predators because of the convenient access to highway, freight rail, and the extensive bike trail along the river. With all of the Transportation types meeting in this one area it's a hub, and the recycling facility nearby is also a feature. Locals that I speak to seem aware and so does the store owner as well as the employees the McDonald's all of whom Express exasperation and hopelessness. If you absolutely have to stop bring your bike inside. And if you get fuel make sure you lock your car when you go into the store because I've heard quite a bit of activity around snatch and grabs from the cars. The lighter of the two screenshots shows the last location of the bike called Criminal the darker the screenshots show the location of the...
Read moreIt's currently 8:05 am and I'm scheduled to work a 15 hr shift doing security and decided to eat breakfast for once. I google the closest place to eat and here I am having a stare down with whom I believe is the morning shift manager. I ordered a mc griddle and a mc muffin and paid with ease but once I got to the 2nd window I was greeted with the most nasties attitude by 2 hispanic women. I asked for jelly and syrup and they said syrup was 40cent. Confused as to why I should pay 40 cents for syrup when I bought a meal that requires syrup the women wouldn't speak English instead invited other employees to the window to discuss why I should pay 40 cents another employee said the same thing I did.but to avoid confrontation i was able to give the woman at the window 50cents she took it i asked for my change the lady got mad so i proceeded to make sure my order was correct. the manager stared me down with evil in her eyes so i stared back and asked them if they can provide the jelly that i asked for another employee screamed for me to leave and i told them they were very unprofessional and they tried to argue with me and talk in Spanish all of this for no reason I didn't have an agressive tone i didnt disrespect anyone i just wanted some breakfast and the devil at McDonald's tried to bring me out of character and ruin my day NOT TODAY SATAN I REBUKE THAT EVIL SPIRIT THESE WORKERS WOKE UP WITH THIS MORNING REMOVE THE HATE FROM THEIR HEARTS in...
Read moreThis location would be considered local for me. It can easily be accessed off of I-70 & Washington street, on my way into or out of downtown Denver. The drive thru begins with your choice of two lanes, that of course, merge into one as vehicles round the building to the first window where the money for your just placed order is collected. Window two is just ahead of that, as I do recall courteous, speedy & accurate service.
I should mention, on behalf of the hard working, dedicated management & work crew staff, just how clean the inside of the restaurant is, including parking lot, windows & entrance/exit ways. The crew has always been respectful of customers as they go about their individual job tasks.
My children have children, so I do not recall if this particular location is equipped with "Playland", or not. The food is typical McDonald's of course, but be sure to ask for napkins unless you are an individual that prefers not to use any. That should not be anything out of the ordinary since many fast food restaurants to request napkins. It certainly seems like nowadays that the business logic is, If they do not ask, they do not get. So just to be sure that you do not drive away with dry french fries, be sure to politely request your ketchup as well. Happy...
