I just had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life and I’m so confused lol… We placed a sizable order through Door Dash. The restaurant does not allow you to write in notes/modifications/instructions (which itself is annoying because it doesn’t account for people who have allergies or sensitivities to certain ingredients or the simple fact that customers have differing preferences!) There was no menu option for chips on Door Dash. There was an option for salsa, but no indication about whether the salsa comes with chips or not. I called the restaurant to confirm. The woman who answered had the nastiest attitude.
First, she talked over me and acted like I was inconveniencing her by calling. I told her we had “just” placed an order via Door Dash. She cut me off and asked when I placed the order and whether this was yesterday. I said we had just placed it a moment ago. She said I have no orders! And then said maybe it was coming through. She was about to hang up on me and I asked her to wait because I was calling with a question - did the salsa come with chips? She said I should have put chips in the order. I told her there was no such option. Did the salsa come with chips? 😖😅 Then, she explained that “it’s the restaurant’s choice” and “depends on whether she has time.” So, apparently, at this Mexican restaurant, you cannot order chips, even with any side of salsa you purchase! I said, “okay, well, may I request that chips are placed in our order please?” And she said she’ll add them if she has time and then literally hung up on me.
Maybe I pay closer attention to interactions like this because I’m a business owner. I would never treat clients this way and I’d be absolutely mortified if my employees ever did. If she’s an owner, she should be embarrassed. If she’s an employee, she should be fired immediately! There are other reviews about her on Google that reflect similar experiences and some patrons said they won’t return because of her. I also don’t plan on giving this place business again no matter how good the food is, as I have no interest in paying a business money to be treated poorly and like an...
Read moreWe live a few blocks away and used to eat at this place all the time, and would order food on grubhub regularly. Then, two weeks ago we brought some friends and despite being essentially the only people in the restaurant the service was terrible. The lady working the front tables was incredibly rude, and would roll her eyes and throw her hands in the air when we politely asked for the rest of the food we ordered. Our friends said they'd prefer that we never bring them there again. Tonight, we decided to give them a shot at a to-go order through grubhub. We ordered family fajitas and paid for a pint of salsa and corn tortillas. The salsa and tortillas never arrived. We called the driver and he said he gave us everything, and we called the restaurant repeatedly over the course of 10 minutes but only got a busy signal the entire time, so I drove my car to the restaurant to ask for the missing stuff. Low and behold, that same woman is the one standing up front. I was hoping that she'd previously just had what must've been the worst day of her life, until, with a super B!$@y attitude she refused to give me the salsa I paid for. She said I didn't pay for a pint of salsa. I produced my receipt which shows I was charged for it. Then she changed her story and said it was in the bag. I repeatedly had to ask her if she was calling me a liar and asked if she really thought I would drive through the rain and walk through puddles to score free salsa. She finally relented cursing under her breath while the guy working in the kitchen gave me a look like, "dude, I know, she's always like this." Well, if anyone who actually runs this place ever reads this, myself, my family, and my friends will never be back. Feel free to reply to this review when you've terminated that waste of perfectly good organs and I may give it another shot. But certainly not until then. After two terrible experiences with her, I promise you we aren't the only people...
Read moreSo we've order from here this past week via GrubHub. The food was good, but we thought it would be better in the restaurant. We went inside and the place was empty (should've been a clue). My Barbosa burrito wasn't bad, a little salty / heavy seasoning and my girlfriends meal was alright as well. So the food I can't complain too much about.
The Interiors was gross! Leftover drink or guac sitting in the blender in front of us during our dining, signage peeling off the walls, dirty mop bucket, brooms, sitting in clear view from bar. It actually looked like the room where the soda and beer dispense from...which where sitting directly on the floor. Bathrooms with out of order signage, dirty and dusty glassware hanging from above the bar. Lights dangling loosely and not fixed to the ceiling. Bar stools had food and crumbs on them. All I could think was, this is where my food is made here. I felt like I was a hole-in-the wall in Tijuana.
Being the only ones in the restaurant you'd think service would be superior! Wrong! I feel like that's a whole other story though, so long story short, we were grossed out and will most likely never visit or order from this...
