Park Burger — Restaurant in Denver

We decided that we had had enough of being locked in the house at home with covid. So, when we heard Denver relaxed its restrictions, we drove 5 hours from Nebraska to do some Chinese New Year Shopping and some Restaurant hopping. This was our first pick and our first meal in Denver.

The burgers we ordered had good flavor. We enjoyed them a lot. The website and menu says all burgers are cooked to medium unless otherwise requested. I asked for mine Medium Rare. It came out medium. I realized that due to how thin the patty is, there was no point in trying for a MR because the patty wasn't thick enough. However...that being said...it was a delicious burger. My wife and I shared their version of loaded fries and the bacon on it was killer. My only issue with the fries was that the paper they line the basket with got soggy pretty fast and when that paper goes, its you...the food...and the gaps between the metal basket before it hits the table.

The table we sat at had a sign on it saying it had been cleaned and sanitized...for covid no doubt. However where we sat it had lots of sticky caked on food...looked like bbq sauce of some kind. We used a germx wipe and cleaned it off.

The staff was very good and very attentive. Our server was nice and very busy with to go orders. There was a constant line of people coming in to pick up their orders or their respective company's delivery service orders. Someone who appeared to be a supervisor or manager approached us and asked if everything was ok. They were super welcoming and nice. I would definitely come here again. Just be warned...parking around there stinks! lol. As most places in a downtown area usually does.

The fifth star would have been given if we were seated at a clean table and if the burger could have been cooked to order as they said they could do and was requested. Def go try...

Sadly, have to update. 2nd time here, food came out lukewarm while there were only max 8 customers? I also noticed a table of four didn't get their food all at once either. it came out in long drips n drabs. I know it's not the waitstaff 's fault as they are on it. That's why I gave three stars. Otherwise it would have been two.

They may be hurting for good experienced staff right now, so I will try once more in a few months and see, but I fear it may be as the one on Pearl St. which was marginal even before covid. It seems as if the owners must be corporate.

Also, watch out!! My draft BEER was $ 7.50! What????? Exsqueeze me? Really?? For ONE beer. My fault for not checking but for the luva gawd who would think that a draft beer would be that much? Most expensive beer in a bar I've EVER had --even in SF.

Fries were still good, if a bit small in portion. my lunch was ; burger , fries and a that outrageous beer- came to 25 w tip. For that price it should have been fantastic. Darn. I thought this was going to be my new burger place. Nope. Waaaaaay too expensive.

We went last night (Friday 12/13/19) have been the the Pearl location a number of times, always had a good experience, last night was not even close to decent experience. First of all we walked in and the temp inside could not have been lower that 85 degrees, we were roasting from the moment we walked in, then the waitress came over and clearly she should now be working with the public, she seemed annoyed with us before we opened our mouths. She was rude, never checked on us to see if we needed anything the entire time and to top it off when she brought us the check she was all sweet and thank you for coming in. She only wanted a tip. This girl should be working in an office filing , far away from the public. We will never ever return to this location, is a matter of fact we went to Little Man ice cream afterwards and mentioned our experience and the kids all working there said they'd never go there again either. Terrible service, very cramped and the temp inside was like eating in a sauna! Not sure if I can leave a review with zero stars, but I...
