How do you say 'meh' in Spanish? That describes our experience here. We came for lunch based on the reviews and ordered two combo plates and horchatas. When our meal arrived, it wasn't very hot (temp) and everything was soggy, swimming in some liquid that wasn't "green chile" as advertised on the menu. The portions are ok but nothing to write home about and there are no beans and rice included; about two tablespoons of lettuce. The horchatas were very good.
We liked the Mexican music but for such a tiny place it was way too loud. Service was mixed: our waiter never came back after taking our order, certainly not to ask if everything is ok (Restaurant 101) or to ask if our drinks needed refilling (they did); the little woman who doesn't seem to speak English brought our meals to the table and later gave us la cuenta; she was smiley and fairly attentive.
Overall, we tried it based on the reviews and were not impressed in the least. And the prices are definitely NOT in the single $ range as we were led to believe. Way too many Mexican restaurants in the area to...
Read moreThis place has amazing food. My family has been going here since they were at their old location. We love their carne asada and bean burritos. I have so many great memories of this place. Now as an adult my brothers and I still visit this place. Whenever we go camping as a family, we order somewhat of 50+ carme asada burritos for our trip and they never disappoint. My wife and I decided to have a little date night here and I of course ordered the carne asada burrito smothered, and my wife ordered their chicken enmoladas. As always their food is amazing and tasty, authentic Mexican food. I even ordered 3 carne asada burritos to go, knowing we wanted more. They are very welcoming and accommodating to their patrons. Their curomer service is on point, always happy to see customers come into their establishment. We will always come here for their good food and hospitality. I'd give them 10 stars if I could, we've already planned out little...
Read moreHad a bad experience here on a date. We ordered a chorizo burrito + enchiladas + 2 margaritas and it was $40 which felt like a pretty bad value considering the food/drink was nothing special. I ended up with a hair under my burrito that I didn't want to mention in front of my date, I just moved it and kept eating... yuck. When we got the hand written bill, our server clearly rounded up at least $2-$3- again I didn't say anything because I was on a date and just wanted to get out of there with a smooth experience.
This place is not a good value, everything seems expensive for what you get and the server rounding up felt pretty bad. Not a...
