It pains me to not be able to give this place five stars because it is the best vegan pizza I have ever had, but the repeated terrible experiences with the staff have made this a place I will never go to again. The first time we went, we waited over an hour for pizza & garlic knots, the garlic knots took so long that we left and they ran them out to the car for us. Appreciate the consideration but can’t fathom why it took a full hour. The second time I came, I called the restaurant to place a pick up order well in advance of arriving, knowing how long it takes to make the pizzas, and when I showed up there was no staff to be seen, the ordering screen was shut off, it looked like they weren’t even open (45 minutes after the restaurant opened), they still hadn’t even turned the oven on, the woman making the pizza said she had no record of my phone in order, and then found it scribbled on a receipt in the back and started to make it then. There is a major disconnect if you place an order in any way other then standing directly in front of them. Again having to wait a phenomenal amount of time for this pizza, considering there are zero other customers or orders in progress. She was extremely unsympathetic and acted like that’s just how restaurants operate. When another couple came in after me and heard what I was going through, they turned right around and left. They were running low on ingredients for the pizza I ordered, so I had to get something else, despite the restaurant having just opened for the day 18 minutes before I placed my order. Just a phenomenal level of incompetence at this establishment that they get away with because the food is good. The restaurant is dirty & full of dead bugs, shares a wall with a hookah bar that you can strongly smell throughout the building, and does not inspire any level of confidence. If you don’t have at least an hour to spend dealing with these issues, I’d advise going somewhere else.

Pizza is good, when it actually gets made right, which seems about never. There is absolutely no consistency with the kitchen getting the order right, or even the ingredients. It also takes FOREVER to get delivered. We wanted to give the restaurant and the owner, Mora, the benefit of a doubt. We ordered 7 slices of pizza the first time, when it was delivered only 4 slices came. I called and talked to Mora who delivered the other slices personally, which was stellar customer service. Second and third time we ordered they didn’t make the pizza correctly. We ordered a spicy sausage slice and it was delivered as a slice of cheese pizza with buffalo sauce on it. The next time we ordered the speciality sausage, which is just supposed to be sausage crumbles and some banana peppers, it was a slice of cheese pizza, no sausage, with an entire jar of peppers on top (not just banana peppers, but also jalapenos and roasted red peppers). It was completely inedible and looked like it was a slice of pizza made by a faulty AI algorithm (i mean, just look at the photo). The buffalo chicken slice we got also looked and tasted nothing like the first 2 times we got that option, the chicken was completely different and it was DRENCHED in ranch sauce. Safe to say, the kitchen is completely inept and seemingly unable to read a simple food ticket. When I sent the latest picture of my speciality sausage slice to Mora, he said it looked correct besides the fact that sausage wasn’t on it and he didn’t understand why the kitchen kept messing up because “they have the ingredient list right in front of them”. He seems unable to actually run a functioning restaurant, and has no quality control of what goes out the door. We love supporting vegan establishments but after being burned ALL THREE times we ordered from here, we will no longer be supporting this establishment.

I feel sad leaving this review, but unfortunately our experiences with Mora have not been consistent, and last night’s was pretty disappointing. We placed a carry out order in-person, with one full order ahead of us, and our order was made incorrectly. With the Mora (vegan) menu in hand, I ordered a vegan pepperoni pizza and vegan garlic knots, but a regular dairy-and-meat pizza was made for us. Not sure how, the woman I placed my order face-to-face with didn’t write it down correctly on my ticket. The man making the pizzas was super apologetic, and it was of course not his fault; he did make us a new vegan pizza when we came back. More than the snafu with the first pizza, we waited around 1hr and 15min for both orders. That has been our overall experience with Mora: they are very, very slow, whether it’s with pickup orders or delivery. Now, we’ve been able to get over the slow wait times in the past because Mora has (had) AMAZING vegan pizza. I’ve waited over an hour and a half for pick-up and delivery orders multiple times, and it was worth it for the delicious meal. But the pizza and knots we got last night were not remotely the same. It seemed like sticky Daiya cheese and Field Roast pepperonis, not at all like the past pizzas we’ve had that have been so convincing of “the real thing.” The knots were just unseasoned balls of pizza dough sitting in greasy liquified butter. You can see the difference in the photos attached, one from their IG and the other of our pizza. I hope Mora sorts out their inconsistencies. I see the same sentiments repeated in other low-star reviews. They are capable of making amazing vegan food Denver so sorely needs, but the hit-or-miss experience makes us not want to try again.
