Terminal Bar has always been a âgo toâ for me. It has solid beer/food in an amazing location. I have been many times. Yesterday I was there and the experience really turned me off. All the beers on their menu are numbered. I totally understand ordering the beer by the number rather than the name but I have never done that before. Iâve always ordered saying âCoors Lightâ rather than ânumber 4â. When my friend and I ordered our drinks by saying the name of our beer, the bartender looked totally bewildered, bothered, and in pain. She asked us to repeat ourselves several times and was rolling her eyes. I literally thought I was on candid camera or someone was playing a prank on me. Was my simple order of a beer on their menu that confusing? Finally after about 4 tries, she asked if I was trying order a beer and asked for the number of the beer on the menu. It was as though I should have known that I should never have expected her to know the name of the beers they have on tap. I do understand itâs an extensive list however my previous experiences would have led me to believe they had superior customer service and would know the names of their beers on the menu. I was wrong. After all that confusion, she acted like it was my fault. I would be more understanding if the bartender took the experience in stride and advised us to order the beers by the number vs. name in a kind way. Rather than doing that she completely shamed us. Union Station has several excellent drinking options and this interaction makes Terminal Bar...
Read moreWow, as you walk in thinking what a nice place it is to sit down have a drink and a few items from the menus to eat. Well after our visit looks can be deceiving. The front-end staff was great. So it started with waiting about an hour until our truffle fryâs came out (very cold) which most likely was sitting in the back. Then a gentlemen in a different uniform (maybe the manager) came out and told us our fish tacos were taking awhile because they forgot to leave the tarter sauce out.
This is not the big deal either.
We said no problem, we will be okay with waiting a little longer. Then in about 5 minutes or less the fish tacos came out.
This is where I experienced something I had never experienced in my entire life until this very moment.
As I begin to lift up this amazing fish taco in front of me, I begin to see something crawling. Then, my husband and I thought it was âjust a fruit flyâ so we tried to shoo the fly away, it was not leaving and kept crawling only. What could it be we thought. So we looked closer and to find out that it was a baby cockroach.
This is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen in my life in a restaurant. I really hope that, some change and health audits come their way. I wonder how many people have actually eaten their food with the roach in it, especially after a few drinks in itâs possible you may pay less attention to the food.

Read moreWe visited Denver in May 2025. Lucky for us, our hotel room wasnât ready (Crawford Hotel) but Terminal Bar was. We grabbed a couple drinks and a bite to eat at the bar. We ordered a few local beers and the crispy potatoes, all delicious. Then we started chatting with Heather, the bartender, we totally adored her. She was fun and helpful, going above and beyond by creating a perfect itinerary for our first visit to Denver. Her recommendations changed our trip for the better.
We were glad our room wasnât ready, this ended up being the perfect place to stop by at the beginning of our weekend trip so we closed out our trip there on Sunday, too. Cheers Terminal - great place, fun times!đ»
Pros n cons: Fantastic location: Located inside Union Station. The whole area was filled with a buzzy vibe that spilled into Terminal as well.
Great design: Loved the decor - moody and darkâish.
Wonderful staff: The people behind the bar were delightful, welcoming and easy to talk to.
Deep drink selection: Lots of local beers and fun cocktails.
Con: Be prepared for Terminal to add 8% to every check - in addition to your standard 20% tip. 3% goes to â Union Station Historic Preservation Feeâ and an additional 5% âthat ensures our hard-working, non-tipped employees also earn a...
