I went here on for date night on a weekday. I would like to start by saying the atmosphere was very nice. We start the evening off with drinks and an appetizer. We wanted crab cakes but that was not available, so we opted for 2 ordered of bing bong shrimp instead. The server brought us our drinks and the saucers and napkins but no silverware. Then over apps came out and we ordered our entrees. I ordered the 78 stuffed salmon and my date order the lamb chops medium, we both wanted asparagus as our veggie as well oh and another round of drinks.
We tried the shrimp and the shrimp was delicious and our drinks were good as well. We didn’t a chance to ask for silverware but it was ok since we only had the shrimp. But our server didn’t come back for a while she didn’t even come back when they first brought our food. And which we waited a while for our food we finished our apps and was basically down with our second of drinks.
Once our food comes out, I notice the salmon isn’t stuffed with the crab it comes on top, the salmon is not on top of the bed of rice which leaves me hesitant, but I try the salmon and it was bland and little dry, but then I try my yellow rice and let me tell you the rice was crunchy. So I push my plate to the front of the table and allow time for my date to try their food. My date tries the lamb shops and they are well done… dry and slightly tough with broccoli on the plate. When the server finally comes back we inform that we don’t want the food, but we still would like to order something (cause I hungry and have been drinking, lol). Since we didn’t know what else to order we just went with the safe route another round or another thing of shrimp is what we tell the our server.
Instead of shrimp she bring another round of drinks… then drops off and leave. We wait for another 30+ minutes and our server is no where to be found to inquire about the shrimp. So we ask another server and then out comes or original server and we ask about our shrimp and she has no clue where it is, so tell her we just wanted another thing of shrimp we didn’t say drink, is it possible to still get the shrimp and some 78 wings with regular fries.
The shrimp and fries was good but the chicken seemed like it was recooked and then sauced. The experience was a no for us.
We recommend: Bing bong...
Read moreI soooo wish I would have taken pics of the inside but alas, I forgot. I feel like I should set the mood so you can try to picture it.
Blue lighting, high top tables, booths that are raised, low table seating and I was impressed by the booth sizes. You can definitely accommodate a large group here.
The DJ was spinning 90s jams (r&b and hip hop mix) with some current music mixed in. The music and blue lights were a vibe by themselves. The bar is lower (three levels in here but you're still close together).
Lots of Women! The ladies were in the building on that particular Sunday. Everyone was dressed nice and the age range varied.
I'm not a big drinker. I usually never finish any drink I order but the pink Starburst martini.... oOoOO MmmMm GgGggg! If I didn't like the food, I'd have went back for that drink. I could drink them all night. Best drink I've had in at least a year.
Our servers name was Zo and the service was amazing. When I go back, put me in his section please.
Food....I ordered the grilled portobellos, angel hair pasta and the fried cauliflower. Don't judge me. My girlfriend ordered crab cakes, wings and rigatoni with salmon and shrimp. She loved the pasta, wings and cauliflower.
I loved everything I ordered. The cauliflower looks so unassuming and unimpressive. I was looking at it when it came out and thought it was going to be nasty. I was beyond shocked. Some of the best fried cauliflower I've ever had. I also don't typically like balsamic on my mushroom steaks but I gave it a shot and it was delicious. Smoky and cooked to perfection. Chefs kiss. The crab cakes on the other hand she ate one and didn't eat anymore. If you're a crab cakes connoisseur, they missed the mark.
Atmosphere: upscale vibe, you can wear heels and you won't be out of place. 5⭐
Food: 5⭐ we won't let those crab cakes ruin it for everything else.
Service: 5⭐ Hi Zo... You were the cherry on top of a great day.
Parking: 2 ⭐ pay at the lot or you're definitely going to have to walk. Get there early enough to look for parking. $20-30 for parking

Read moreI emailed District Seventy8 on 10/09 before I did my review to give them an opportunity to address the issues but it's 10/17 & there has been no response. Here is the email.... Hello,
I wanted to provide some feedback on my recent visit to this establishment. I was there for a relatives bridal dinner and I was excited because it was my first time visiting the restaurant. We had a party of about 20 people and arrived at 7 pm. The atmosphere was lovely, the DJ and bingo was fun but unfortunately that was the extent of what I thought would be a great experience and it turned out to be the complete opposite. First, when we sat down, no one ever came to greet us or take an order... no water, no nothing. After waiting about 20 mins, I decided to go to the bar and the server for our area walked past, so I asked about ordering drinks and she told me she had to take everyones order at the same time. I said no problem and proceeded to the bar. When it was time to order, I got the Surf & Turf (steak, grilled lobster with mashed potatoes and broccolini), chicken wings, fries, mini burgers & 2 margaritas. When the food came out it was cold and the steak had no flavor. There was not one granule of salt on it or any seasoning for that matter and for the money I spent ($140+), at the least I should not have cold food. I actually couldn't even eat it there. I just waited until she came around with the carryout containers and took it home so I could warm it up to eat it. A couple of days after visiting, I went to read Google reviews to find that cold food is quite common here, which is disappointing. If I ever return, it will be drinks and bingo only. I would love to keep supporting this B.O.B, as well as tell other people to support. I work in walking distance and my team is always looking for places to patronize during work hours as well as after work, however after sharing my experience with them, they're turned off. I hope things improve so that I can say District Seventy8 truly cares about their business and the service...
