8 mile and Kelly new location by East-land Mall - So the River walk drink was so good! However my experience. So the drink is made with Coconut Ciroc and I'm allergic to any kind of nut. I asked for a substitute. Ciroc apple or any kind without nuts. I'm drinking my drink and it's so good! I'm totally satisfied. Then all of sudden my throat and tongue is itching. So my waitress is so wack! I tell her what's going on with me and my allergies again..... She tries to assure me that noting was put in my drink in regards to any nuts. I'm staying there itching and she could care less. She walked away to take care of someone else. I asked another waitress for the office manager. And she was very kind to me. However some Ghetto hood rat come out rolling her eyes and proceeds to tell me the office manager is in a meeting Pamela is her name at 10:30, 11:00 at night and she could not speak to me. And as nasty as she was she had the nerve to ask me what she could do for me, all the while rolling her eyes and being very unprofessional. I politely stated no. My waitress walked pass my table twice without saying a word and ignoring myself and my friend and I was just so ready to get out of there at this point. I ordered a Cobb salad. It was very good however I couldn't enjoy it until I reached home once my throat and tongue stopped itching. I can say I love Starters which is right next door. I have never left there unhappy and I will never return to They Say again. It may not mean much to They Say clearly Pamela the office manager had no time for me and my allergies. Updated (2024): They Say is a decent restaurant that I find best suitable for groups of 3-4, however can be enjoyed with less. The food is good, but not stellar. I ordered a 10pc traditional wing platter, but a mistake was made on the waitress' part, so I received 20 instead. I was initially told that they'd let me have the extra at no charge, but I was later told they'd like 10 back. I'm certain that violates a code somewhere, so I opted to keep them, and they offered me 20% off the price of a 20pc. For what I received, it wasn't a good tradeoff. The chicken lacked seasoning and was too well-done, but the sauce made it edible. My friends ordered some entrees, such as the Catfish and Pork Chop — they had good color and found them tasty. The desert exhibited a different quality, however: a healthy slice of carrot cake with a wonderful texture, density, and flavor, with a not-too-heavy frosting to pair. Service was okay, nothing worth taking note of aside from the abundant wings situation.

They Say is no longer at the top of my list, but I could visit again in the future.

Original (2020): Great food, fantastic service, and fantastic energy. I recently had my first experience here, and it was amazing. A mistake was made on some shrimp that we didn't even notice, and the chef came out and personally apologized for his mistake. I've never had a restaurant that wasn't 5 star treat me with that much respect.

Restaurant was clean but server with braces was rude . The restaurant was unreasonably COLD . It’s September and most of us had on long sleeves and jackets and still had to go outside to warm up after asking the server if they could turn the ac down. When we asked she stated rudely that she would see if they could turn it off but if she got too warm she would turn it back on because she had asthma was not trying to pass out and walked off .

The air was not adjusted until we asked a third time

The football game was playing on 2 TVs where we were . Our party was talking among our tables then suddenly the TVs were blasting so loud as if we were st a concert . We asked the same server with the braces if they could turn the tv down as it suddenly had an immense raise in volume and she told us that it was loud because they were trying to turn on the TVs in another room and that once those TVs were on they would lower the volume . We waited and waited and could no longer speak to each other without yelling so we didn’t get to talk much which is unfortunate because some of us were visiting from various cities and trying to catch up . Eventually we asked for a manager and told them the issue and the volume was turned down .

The food was presented well but was bland and all of our food came out at different times so people in our party had to wait while others had their food . I’ll add that it wasn’t busy . We were the first and only ones there for most of our visit
