I really struggled with what rating to leave. I’ve passed by this restaurant so many times and always say I’m going to eat here one day but never have. Tonight I stopped in hoping they had a table. If they didn’t I would have sat at the bar. Turned out the very nice young male host found the perfect spot for me. Sorry I don’t recall his name but he’s awesome. I wanted to be on the patio and that’s where he was able to seat me without a reservation. This is the most beautiful restaurant!! My server Chris is the nicest, most attentive server EVER! I have relatives who don’t live in detroit who are very…let’s call them particular, and they’d be impressed by the ambiance and the service of this place. The reason I only gave it 3 stars is because my food bordered on cold. After I ordered, Chris said my food would be out in 15-20 minutes. No problem. This is a high end restaurant. One doesn’t expect food waiting under lights so I ordered a drink and prepared to enjoyed the atmosphere and music. I am not exaggerating when I say the food didn’t take five minutes. Literally. I cannot honestly say it was room temperature and I can’t call it COLD but with all honestly I can tell you it was not even close to hot and I was not happy. Not at all. Shame on them for making food in advance and serving it COOL. What a disappointment. I had such anticipation for this place. I took pics sitting here and sent them to family and friends….i know that’s ridiculous but this place is beyond beautiful. Who knew the food would be awful and just so regular tasting and cold. It was truly nothing special. I don’t want to name other restaurants in this review. It I’ve been to restaurants in detroit that I can’t stop talking about because the food is so fantastic. My co-workers and I are literally keeping a list of the best restaurants in detroit for ourselves. This will not make the list. So sorry. Beautiful or not , it’s not worth spending close to $100/person for cold, regular tasting food you could pick up at Applebees. Not again. Sorry but not only will I not return but I will NEVER bring my particular relatives here. Oh no!!
