I chose this particular location based off the wonderful reviews, however, my dine-in experience cannot vouch for the reviews I’ve read.
My family and I dined in on 01/09/2024 around 7PM.
Kayleigh was our waitress. She was such a sweet young lady but very unprofessional.
It took her a long time to come take our order. She only brought out one entree and stated that the other entree was still cooking. Since we did the ''ALL YOU CAN EAT'' special, the other member in my party asked if she could just bring out something else since it was taking so long. Kayleigh acknowledged that she would. I also asked that she bring me back a condiment. She brought out the initial food order to my family member, which took another 10-15 minutes, but she didn’t bring out the requested condiment for my food. She disappeared for at least 20-30 minutes, until I had to ask another waiter to go and find her. I asked if she had forgotten all about what I kept asking her to bring me. I then asked for another round of food and I placed an order for my child.
When she finally came back, she only brought out the kid’s meal. She got the order wrong and stated that an item that was not listed on the menu was indeed supposed to come with that meal. She then stated that she would go check with her manager to see, but she did not. She also stated that the food was taking forever to come out because of the influx of orders, the screen was not working and they only had two cooks.
She never came back to check on us nor ask if we needed refills. I had to constantly ask for a refill!!!
I got so irritated with the wait time and dealing with her playing hide-and-seek that I asked the hostess for the manager! Even the manager took all day to come out!!! He stated that he was going to address the issue, yet it still took forever to get our food!
The hostess came back to apologize on the waitress’ behalf and assured us that we were going to get our food. She told us that they were short staffed.
Later, we eventually got another batch of food but without the side item, which is supposed to come with it. We had to tell her that we wanted our entree and side item BOTH replenished. She was like, ''OH?!'' Like she didn’t know I asked for it plus she acted as if she didn’t know that she was supposed to bring it out regardless because that’s what the endless promotion stated! I had to ask her again if she figured out why she got my kids’ meal incorrect, and she offered me a replacement.
My last batch of food I requested was uncooked—RAW POULTRY!!!! I told her to tell her manager. She came back and didn’t inform us if he addressed the undercooked food. I had to ask her again just to get my bill discounted only $6.
When I paid my bill, Kayleigh DID NOT ask if she could keep my change!!!! She looked at me crazy and didn’t say a word!!!! She could have asked me if the change was for her to keep or not!!! I let her have it because not only did she NOT deserve a tip but because I took the high road. My patience was veryyy thin!!! Plus I been was ready to go!!!
It was so sad to see people getting serviced more quickly than us!!! People who came before and after us were enjoying their dinner while we were sitting there irritated, hungry, frustrated and with migraine!
Such a HORRIBLE experience at this location!!! I was expecting so much better!!! I wish I had one of the other waiters who actually cared about their...
Read moreOn Mother's Day, Sunday, May 14, 2023 at 10:20 pm, I visited your location at 6915 Douglas Blvd, Douglasville, GA., to have dinner. Upon arrival, I was seated by a Manager named Tanya. Prior to placing my order, I asked for a glass of lemon water with no ice. Tanya stated she would bring it back to me. I informed her that I would be ready to order when she returned, but had to go to the bathroom to wash my hands.
When I returned to my booth, my beverage was not at my table. I waited, and waited and waited. Another family of 4 had been seated. They were complaining no one waited on them. I summoned another waitress to come to my table, but she ignored me and sat where the wait staff sits.
As I sat in the dining room, me and the other customers could hear bursts and bursts of loud laughter, coming from the restaurant kitchen area. It sounded like they were having a party. After having sat for over 30 minutes, and no one came back to my table, at 11:05, I got up and went to the Bartender, and asked for the Manager. He went to get Tanya. She surfaced.
I asked her why she hadn't been back. She apologized. I asked her if they were serving, she said no. I told her I was seated by her and had waited over 30 minutes. I asked why didn't she come back and say they weren't serving anymore, instead of just having me sit. She apologized, offered me a brownie dessert.
I told her it was insulting to offer that, since she ruined my Mother's Day. I told her she should be giving a gift card. She asked for my information, (name, email and telephone number) and said she would email the gift card to me. She disappeared in the back and sent out another employee. When I asked the turnaround time for the email gift card, I was told 24 hours. As I was leaving, the Bartender apologized.
The family of 4 did get served by a young man who was nice enough to take their order. As for me, I never received my lemon water, nor did I get any service. And I have yet to receive the gift card by email. Horrible...
Read moreI had one of the worst takeout ordeals of my life here last night. The bad thing is, we were planning to go to the Chili's we always go to when we want this kind of food, but it's ten miles away, whereas this is only about four miles away, and we'd been dealing with a bad plumbing issue all day, so we just wanted something good and quick. The fact that they bring the food to your car also helped, because we were not in the mood to shower and change after such a rough day. Well, first of all, I waited in my car nearly 30 minutes for the food to show up. I assumed they were really busy, and I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt. When they didn't show, I tried to call multiple times, but no one ever answered the phone. I finally went inside, the host had no customer service skills and did not so much as apologize...he just sent me to the bar to get my food. I should mention here that the restaurant was maybe half-full if even that. The bar was so nasty and sticky that the bartender had to have me sign my credit card receipt on a menu (and the menu even stuck to it). Then she just disappeared. A while later, someone brought my food out, and I made the mistake of not checking it until I got home. The sampler we ordered did not come with what it was supposed to. The burger had zero toppings, and the meat was so thin - I had gone next door to the Wendy's to get my dog a little $.89 junior burger for a treat, and the meat on it was larger than the one I'd just paid $10 for at this Applebee's. All that aside, the food was cold and tasted like something I could grab out of the freezer section at a grocery store. I could look past the bad service, but paying that much money for food no one wanted to eat is not worth it. I will never eat at any Applebee's again - it's just not...
