I've been coming here since this restaurant was established at this location, a few years ago. The food is always great, and I never have any complaints. The entrees and meats are probably my favorite within the area, and the dinner rolls are just simply amazing! But that's not the only reason why I come back - that's only half of it - I always find myself coming back because of the awesome service. There have been many cooks(?) and servers who have worked here - each of them were good people that have been pretty pleasant to talk to, at least in my experience.
The newest cook (Franklin) is definitely among the nicest of all of them (no shade towards anybody else). He's always very kind, and I always see him talking to his customers about all sorts of things while he's whipping up their food - really sociable and pleasant guy. If I were the owner, I'd bend over backwards to keep him around - you'd be genuinely stupid to let a guy like this go. Big kudos to him, as well as the guy with the afro!
With that said, I believe that food attracts the customer, but the service keeps them around. Dickey's has kept me around for years - it's been one of my go-to BBQ spots. I recommend it to anyone looking to try something new, and definitely if you see the guy with the waves and beard, definitely be sure to leave a nice tip. You'll know why once you meet him!
Edit: I haven't been back in a little while as I've been trying to eat healthier, but I just found out that my buddy Franklin has unfortunately parted ways with the company. It truly makes me sad that I probably won't ever see him again, but I wish him the absolute best in his future! Apparently he's gotten himself a great job, so if that's the case, while I will miss him, I'm also very...
Read moreDecided to get take out here so I chose the curbside pickup option the food came out in a timely manner so that was good. But when I get home to look at the food. Online the have a loaded baked potato pictured but when I looked at my food I had what looked like loaded mashed potatoes. I love baked potatoes so I drove bake to get my baked potatoe which is a 20 minute drive. On top of this my wife's root beer tastes like seltzer water. So when I get back to the restaurant the guy behind the counter tells me that they don't have a actual baked potato that this is what they serve for $10 and that it's the corporate people that does this. My thing is if it's not a baked potato why advertise it as one. If I know that I would of got something else besides this loaded mash mess I was given. Inside the restaurant its very dim lighting in there which is horrible and I looked behind the counter it's a filthy mess with old outdated oven equipment. Dust and grease everywhere 🤢 just nasty. By the time I got back home my food was cold had to microwave it a few. My ribs tasted ok but they don't take the back membrane off their ribs so I comes off when you bite your ribs which I don't like plus on top of that it tastes like they use liquid smoke on the ribs🤢. The pulled pork and brisket was very dry and hard to chew. Food cost too much to not enjoy I'll just fire my own grill up next time now I remember why I had eating out I won't be...

Unfortunately, this location has reached a point of no return for our family. We will not be back. Our order was supposed to be ready at a certain time, and despite arriving 10-15 minutes late, it still wasn't ready. Half the order was wrong or missing, and even when we left, it remained incorrect.
The interior of the restaurant is very hot, with boxes stacked all over the tables, making it look cluttered. It's also very dark inside, and the menu has handwritten prices, duct tape covering items, and handwritten notes taped all over. The food was rubbery, fatty, and tasteless. We ordered a 2-meat plate but were missing one of the meats, which we only found out after asking, as they were out of that meat. They were out of brisket, out of wings, and out of turkey.
The "Texas toast" was just a plain, dethawed roll that seemed like it had been sitting in the fridge since Thanksgiving. It was nothing like real Texas toast. Additionally, they forgot our onions, pickles, and silverware in our pickup order, and we eventually gave up asking for all the missing items. They also gave us the wrong sauces, which we only discovered too late. When we went to eat the "pulled pork" it wasn't pulling apart-coke to find out it was cooked in or wrapped in plastic!! 🤬
Overall, the experience was highly disappointing and far from the quality...
