Oh boy... Seems all I'm giving lately, is 3* and lower! Sorrrrry! But, the truth, is the truth! So, I pull up at the Dairy Queen, drive thru. Not another car in sight! Yet it takes a person a good 5 minutes to come to the mic. Doesn't sound long, does it? Try solitting there for 5 minutes and see! 😉 So, FINALLY a guy comes to the mic. "CAN, I take your order?" (I don't know, can you? Of course I didn't say that.) Ok, I HATE...being "upsold!" So, I tell, every drive thru I go to....RIGHT UP FRONT..."I want a, X, Y & Z...and a 1, 2, 3...and THAT WILL BE ALL!!!" This day I asked for, "5 chicken tenders, ONLY! And, THAT WILL BE ALL!" He responds, "Anything else?" WTH?? Me: "Just chicken, thank you." HIM:"Would you like a drink with that?" WHAAAAAAAT? ME: "JUST THE CHICKEN!" HIM: "You wouldn't like a drink?" ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Now, it's a war of wills! We BOTH KNOW what's going on here!!! ME: "JUST CHICKEN!" I didn't wait for another "drink question." I just pulled to the pay window! All I could think of was, "They're rubbing my tenders in their 'nether regions!' " OMG! And, it didn't help when I got to the window, the entire staff came from the back, looked directly at ME, for 2 seconds, then bolted back out of sight! Oh Lawwwerrrrddd! NOW I KNOW.....they're doing something to my poor little tenders...😭😭😭 But...when I finally got them, I began to CLOSELY examine them, for......well, stuff. 😉 That's when the manager who served them to me, said, "Please be careful, Sir....they are extremely HOT!" They were, too! So....I thought, "Well, at least the hot oil, killed whatever THEY put on them!" Maybe. But, if you travel much, and know fast food the way I do...a virtual "Cold Cut Combo Connoisseur," then, you KNOW when a fried item has sat there and gotten cold...and they REFRY them to try and "fake you out!" Read moreI came into this Dairy Queen around 5pm on Thursday, July 13th, 2023...I wanted to get a blizzard with the points I had in the app so I ordered through the drive thru and pulled around. I asked to give my phone number instead of my phone as my phone was dead, so they wouldn't be able to scan the barcode...the girl at the window looked confused, so she called over an older white lady who I assume to be her manager and she said "We don't do that here...we have to scan your phone." Also, keep in mind, I work the same window job at another local Dairy Queen, so I know that there is definitely another option besides using someone's phone (there are lots of people who don't have smartphones, so there's this option for a reason). I asked again and said "I really can't just give you my number for you to look up my account?" and she insisted on her original answer..."no". She then said "Oh, our scanner is even broken, so we can't do that here at all." So essentially now what they're saying is that if you have points in the Dairy Queen app, you can't use it at this location for the time being. The older white lady who came to "help" the other girl was incredibly rude and did not try to help at all. Customer service is the most basic thing you can have and if the people who are supposedly in charge at this location can't even give that then...
Read moreI come to this DQ because it's close to the house and I do believe in giving people 2nd chances. Sometimes we can't blame the owners for there staff, but today proved other wise I come to diary queen alot and always get the blizzards today I ordered the usual a oreo cookie dough blizzard and a cheesecake blizzard. Young lady working looks like she does not want to work... like she is forced to be here comes and takes the order with an attitude 😏 super rude not even a welcome to diary queen... hands us the blizzards without flipping it also not even mixed blizzards totally watery asked her if she can mix it...she proceeds to tell me that is how it is I asked again please mix it I come all the time she said are you going to pay for it if I make a new one!..... Like EXCUSE me I just purchased this and it should be done correctly I seen the owner and tried to explain after the young girl wanted to continue to argue and told me to calm down with an attitude after I was being very calm smh...I asked the owner if he can please come so I can explain to him the situation he also proceeds to tell me that is how it is supposed to look.
