The only reason this got a star is because the employees at self check out are always so friendly. This Kroger is by far the worst I have ever shopped at and I have taken most of my business to the Kroger on Chapel Hill! This Kroger never has anything in stock! 7 times in the last 4 months the hamburger meat and chicken I bought was bad and several days even before the sale by date, no excuses for that one! I gave up on the meat there and now go to the butchers for my meat. I went shopping at Sprouts for the first time as well only to see way better produce and half the price, they lost my business here as well this past week! I have really bad food allergies, they always run out of my foods in the small gluten free area. They also over charge and never ever do you see those foods on sale, coupons for them on the use to be amazing app that is now horrible, besides anything on sale on the app you wouldn't be able to find it anyway as this store again never has any sale items in stock so I again end up having to go to the other Kroger that is far from where I live! Several times I have asked them if they have Aquafina water, in almost a year, I have never seen that water carried there by the case! Stop lying to your customers and just say, we don't carry it here! This store has a ton of things on clearance yet priced so high it won't sell! The bathrooms...these are the most disgusting outside of a busy Walmart that you could ever go into. The smell alone when going in the door is enough to warn you to keep out but sometimes you gotta go...so if you have to here, say a prayer first! The customer service area we stood there the other day, second person in line for almost 25 mins. We had to go specifically to this Kroger or we would have left. But, not the first time we have had to just stand there and wait, be nice to have someone watching so if there is a line help can be sent! This Kroger is always short on carts. This Kroger loses power a lot, twice this summer and maybe that's why the meat is bad..hmm! I was told this Kroger is small so it isn't sent a lot of product as to why they run out, Kroger Corporate..would you like to take this one? This is the worst Kroger. I'm a huge Kroger fan, moved from an area with 2 of them close by to a city with 1 and the other far out. Well, between driving far out, Sprouts and the Butcher, though it is sad to have to go to this measure to get the right deals, quality etc, it is what it is and just maybe if this Kroger could work together as a team with their own Corporate...this Kroger I wouldn't say should be shut down due to poor sanitation, bad meat, un sanitary restrooms, out of stock sale items, poor gluten free section, poor quality produce and well....you get it. Wish all the other stores were as close as this one but solutions not excuses...right hwy 5 Kroger? The customers are finding...
Read moreThis store has slowly but surely gone down hill. This store is the closest Kroger to my house, but I'd rather be inconvenienced and go to Publix where I'm sure my needs will be met. I usually stop by in the evenings (between 6-7pm ) in search of a rotisserie chicken and a leafy green for dinner. Over the last month, there has been no chickens or fresh lettuce. I stopped in yesterday evening and waited for the deli worker to remove the chickens from the oven. He opened the oven at 6pm and began prepping the containers. At 6:30pm he was still prepping containers. At this point I decided to just stop by Publix and get a chicken, but I figured I would go ahead and get my lettuce and other accompaniments while there. Well that was a bust. There was no fresh lettuce and the sell by date on the lettuce that was left was 10/13. I politely returned the contents of my cart back to their respective places and went to Publix where I found everything I was looking for. Yes my needs were met at Publix, but I would much rather shop at Kroger where I feel I get the most value for my money. Finally, the shelves stay bare. I understand they may be very busy, but you'd think that's more of a reason to replenish the inventory. I'll probably contact the store manager or regional manager sometime in the next few days as I really feel like none of the Kroger stores in Douglasville are on the same level as the stores in Cobb or North Fulton or even Carrollton for...
Read moreI visited this location today to get some beautiful flowers for my grandmother to whom is in the hospital after suffering a stroke. I chose a red white and blue theme for the holiday. When I went to checkout the flowers rang up 19.99. I questioned this as they were sitting on a shelf with a sale sign for 9.99. I then spoke with an associate who said No they were not that price an I could go choose another as she kept grabbing my arm trying to make me understand completely invading my personal space. I kept pulling my arm away she just kept getting closer. I then asked to speak to a manager. They called the flower associate who also told me she could not change the price. I then spoke to a manager and showed him where I found the flowers under the 9.99 price. I explained my situation and he said sorry I can't changed the price. I then told him that was terrible customer service as they were clearly marked wrong. I then asked for his name to which he would only say MR Williams. This was definitely a chance for them to take care of someone in a distraught state who was worried about their loved one but instead decided to just be rude and not correct THEIR MISTAKE! Terrible...
