Hong Kong Chinese Restaraunt — Restaurant in Douglasville

If you’re craving top-notch Chinese food in Metro Atlanta, look no further than Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant on Hwy 5 in Douglasville! This place is hands-down the best Chinese spot I’ve found since moving to Atlanta, offering unbeatable flavor and generous portions at very reasonable prices. I ordered the Triple Delight with Mixed Vegetables and swapped in Shrimp Fried Rice—absolutely divine. Even my picky grandkids couldn’t get enough! They enjoyed wings, vegetable fried rice, and shrimp/chicken with mixed vegetables and shrimp fried rice, devouring every bite.

We upgraded our pork egg rolls to shrimp egg rolls, and let me tell you, they are the best I’ve ever had. We loved them so much that we took five more to go! But the real gem here is Wendy—she made the entire experience memorable with her friendly A-1 customer service and spot-on recommendations. I visited this restaurant, for the first time, tonight. I ordered take out of: Sesame Chicken, with fried rice Fried dumplings 2 shrimp rolls I looked over the $1.00 per scoop buffet section, which was half filled at best; and clearly was food at the end of the evening; thus, selecting from off the "fresh cooked menu".

Once home, discovered that a) was given white rice, b) the sesame chicken was overcooked and dried, and the c) dumplings were scourged.

I called the restaurant to share my concerns over my first visit to this establishment; and while recognizing and remembering me, he showed no concern over the impression that was left with me on my first and last visit to this restaurant.

I knew, as I was driving home, as I was smelling the aroma of burnt food, that there would be a problem once I got home. I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends or family. I would drive another few feet to another restaurant, as they are plentiful...

Horribly disappointed. I got take out a couple months ago and it was great: fresh, hot, tender pieces of chicken and large portions. I got the same order today (sesame chicken with egg fried rice and egg roll) and it was AWFUL! The pieces of chicken were tough and tiny and both the chicken and rice were dried out and barely warm as if they'd been sitting out for a while. The broccoli was raw and just a couple pieces. The egg roll was tough and cold. While the service is friendly, the food today was not even edible which sucks because I was celebrating my birthday. I would've given 5 stars previously however after today's experience I would not recommend and probably won't be back unless they offer to make it...
