Normally I do not do these type of reviews but I got time today. I called the restaurant on Wednesday to make reservations for a party of 19 at 7:30 and was confirmed for Saturday 2/15. My party and I arrived at 7:25 and was not seated until 9:15. I continuously went to the front to ask about the wait and I was told they need a few more minutes . Now mind you the restaurant tried to call me on Thursday to reschedule and I advised 7:30 is the only time that worked for me and they said okay. After the “manager” at the front lied to me multiple times about when we would be seated I asked him to get the manager because I just couldn’t understand the point in the reservations if we still had to wait an hour plus . As the gentlemen went to get the “Manager “ one of his friends stated why would you leave like you’re not a manager too? This made me feel as though games were being played . The big manager comes out to tell me they could seat half of my family in 10 min which was completely unacceptable because we came together. The first manager did continuously apologize and provided a $50 coupon. This was my second time coming to this restaurant the first time was when they opened and we had no issues. However , I do feel that for us to come with such a big party and to pay almost $500 for the bill the service could’ve been better . Not to mention the next day half of my family got sick from the food including myself . I do think they need more management support or to plan better when it comes to reservations. I am aware this place is a hot commodity which is why I tried to be proactive but after this visit I probably will not be returning...
Read moreWe dined in at Sapporo on a Tuesday night around 7 PM, party of two. Parking is free, but it is tricky to get in the lot because of how it’s placed on GA-5, so I recommend that you turn into the lot where the Highway 5 Auto Care car wash is if you’re coming down the street with the restaurant on your left side.
There was no wait even though the parking lot was full. We waited for less than five minutes for the server to greet us and take our drink orders. Once she returned with the drinks (we just had water with lemon & it was good and without an after taste), we decided to order the calamari appetizer, which included 10 fried calamari rings. Upon first glance, they look like frozen onion rings, however, they tasted good, especially with the sauce. I rate those a seven out of 10. We decided to have a small bowl of miso soup and two specialty sushi entrées - the rock ‘n’ roll and the super crunch roll. The miso soup was flavorful and hot with a good share of tofu. I rate the soup 10 out of 10 and would definitely have it again especially on a cold day. The sushi rolls were also pretty good however, my preference of all that I tried were the super crunch roll pieces that had the smoked salmon on it. Overall, the meal & experience was an eight out of 10 and I would come back again, likely during lunch to take advantage of some of...
Read moreI visited Sapporo on 3/1/25 to have hibachi dinner with a friend. The environment was very welcoming, the chef was very animated, and the food very good. We had a great time and took our leftover food to go. However, upon leaving the establishment my bank notifies me that I was charged $177 instead of the $41 I should have been charged for my meal. I promptly made my way back into the establishment and notified the manager of the overcharge and he told me that on their computer they charged me the correct amount of $41.42. He then informed me that it was most likely a mistake and that the money should return to my account within 1-3 business days. He also claimed that it was most likely my banks fault for the overcharge which makes no sense when they’re the ones that charged me. Despite the inconvenience I chopped it up to being a mistake and waited for the money to return to my bank account. After 3 days the payment posted and the money did not return to my account. I had to dispute the charges with my bank in order to get my money back. Love the food and atmosphere but this was a mistake that put a bad taste...
