The service from the time we walked in was a disappointment. We had to tell our server 4 times we wanted to see the buffet and menu before we ordered before she would let us in the door and then asked twice more before she would give us the menus. After we saw that the buffet was all old and dried out we decided to order. She came up and took one of our drink orders and then walked away not answering when I called to let her know what I wanted. She continued on to the bar to get her pad and then took both our drink orders. She brought us our drinks with the chips and spilled the soda in the chips and did not offer to get us fresh chips. She walked pass our table with empty cups three times which is understandable if your busy, but we were the only ones there. So we asked for refills. She came back twice with out them. The third time we asked again and she did bring them. When I got my plate, my dad's was still no where to be seen, the food looked good. But when I went to eat it I found tomatoes in it and I happen to hate tomatoes. So I asked her if I could have another one because I did not want tomatoes. To which she replied with you did not ask for no tomatoes only no sour cream. I told her that it was not supposed to come with tomatoes according to the menu. She then told me that I could just take them off there only on the top. This not being something I wanted to do asked if I could just have another. Five minutes later the TV went out and we asked if we could watch the Olympics while we waited. She was not sure how to do it so she said that she would have to go talk to her manager. It turned out that her manager was sitting at the bar drinking beers the entire time we were there! But he was kind enough to change it for us. My dad's food came out 7 minutes after mine first came out and there was still no sign of mine coming back out. A few minutes go by and our waitress walks past us and towards the kitchen and before she gets to the bar starts scratching her butt in front of the manager! A few minutes later she comes out with my food and sets it in front of me. It was the same burrito that I sent back. She told me that they had taken off as much of the tomatoes that they could. I could not help but start laughing. She did offer to have a fresh one made. But asking kitchen staff who would do that to a customer and after seeing our waitress hygiene I was not going trust them with my food a third time. When I did finally get it eat it i was really disappointed it the flavorings in it, it was bland, and dry. After I finished half of it I decided to take the rest because my dad was done eating before me, he did have almost 10 minutes to eat before I got mine back. I asked for a box and she brought it and went back to the kitchen, not to be seen for quite a while. So we watched the Olympics waiting for our check and got to watch almost the entire first quarter to the women's rugby game before she came out with our check. We were there for over an hour and was disappointed ever second I was there. If the management was sober and trained there employees it could be an awesome restaurant. But for now I will not...
Read moreI've been to Los Tacos twice (on Saturdays) and the flavors were on point. On my first visit, I dined in with family during lunch. It was not busy, and I loved the service, peach margarita, birria and guacamole. My son and I liked the guacamole, but my hubby did not. It was well seasoned and had a strong lime taste. (Hubby doesn't care for too much lime) My margarita was great, (not watered down/but not so strong that it was gross) and I asked for it with a Tajin rim! The free salsa and chips were also nice touch. The beef texture and seasoning were great in the birria and I loved dipping my tacos in their mild (green) sauce. Our meal was affordable too (not to mention the Yelp Check In offer that saved me additional money).
On my second visit, I came in during dinner hours. It was busy with the phone ringing consistently and a few tables occupied. There were two employees out front, and my server and the manager on duty were doing their best to juggle the pick up orders, phone calls and tend to the tables. Customer service did not lack and the food did not either! If anything, it took a little longer to get my food, but it was worth it. I opted for the four count beef birria and it was so good. They were out of the mild sauce, but I still enjoyed the meal.
I recommend Los Tacos if you're in the mood for birria. The food is authentic...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars, I would. I had passed this place before and decided to double back the other night, hoping for a good experience. My son, his dad, and I walked in about 30 minutes before closing and asked if we could still order. No one greeted us or even attempted to be friendly. I made a mental note of that—but I still hoped the food would make up for it.
We placed our order and paid over $50, including a tip. Not one staff member interacted with us again—no water offered, no check-ins, nothing. Strike two.
When we got home, I was horrified. The only thing remotely edible was the guacamole. Whatever meat they’re calling “steak” is absolutely not steak. I couldn’t identify it, and neither could my dogs—they didn’t even come near it, and they usually beg for everything. The chicken was bone-dry, flavorless, and clearly thrown together without care. Honestly, none of the food had seasoning. I sat on my kitchen floor and cried—from frustration, disappointment, and honestly, feeling disrespected as a paying customer.
I tried to call the next day to voice my concerns. No one answered. That’s fine—because I’m leaving reviews anywhere I can, and I’ve already reported the charge to my bank. I even took photos. I’m still determined to find out what kind of meat they served us, because whatever it was—it wasn’t fit for human...
