Randy's Donuts — Restaurant in Downey

Ordered an assortment of flavors visiting for the first time here today, and so far, every flavor has been a hit with the family!

The matcha donut is my favorite thus far of what I've tried (that flavor balance was absolutely chef's kiss), but for not being a fan of red velvet myself, I have to say that donut was perfectly moist and fluffy! The crispness of the other donuts, that slight crunch on the outside with the airy, chewy center, is phenomenal! The people there certainly know their craft, with how unquestionably perfect each donut is!

I will say, though... those extra large donuts are DAUNTING— in a sense that one day I hope to get one and see if I'm up to task with tackling it in one go!

Front of house staff was kind and patient with us as we asked our questions, chose our flavors, and told us a little bit about the chain's (and specific location's) history.

If we ever make it back into South Cali again, I'm sure we'll make another stop...

We went to Downey location for the first time, at 6:30 AM, the parking was full and only 2 customers inside!, the employees taking the whole parking lot!. We go inside the young man help us right away didn't even say "good morning", I was ordering not finish ordering and He was already standing by the cash register charging me, it took him a long time to give me a coffee, I go prepare my coffee and there was a woman cleaning the very small area, right in front of us with the trash can right in front of me and the other customer next to me She had the cleaning supplies right next to the coffee supplies, She was cleaning in a very slow motion didn't apologized or move the trash can . It was a bad exlerience experience. The donuts are delicious but the parking and customer service terrible!. Very rude...

Our visit here really made me sour. Once it was our turn, we got “greeted” by this Wendy’s looking lady, who I’m guessing is the manager, where her hospitality lasted for few seconds. My mom was trying her best to help her out by ordering quickly, but the manager got smart with her when she chose a coconut donut by going “there’s like five of them” instead of helping her out with the different ones there were. I took over and ordered instead since she was being disrespectful and making all these remarks after we were being “vague”. Her crew, however, more polite and I’m just disappointed we were “helped” by her. Turns out, few of the donuts we ordered weren’t there but we just got out of there. Even if the location is closer, it’s not...
