The Salty — Restaurant in Dr. Phillips

Not a great way to start my morning. I placed an order for 2 coffees, 2 donuts, and 2 sandwiches since I had a friend over. Within a minute, they refunded both coffees and one donut. When I called, Annabelle, the manager, said they were out of espresso from the morning rush and that another manager had accidentally added that donut to the menu.

I said, “No problem, I understand not having those items, just please cancel the order,” since we wanted coffees, sandwiches, and donuts — not less than half the order. I even tried to cancel on my end, but DoorDash said the restaurant had already started preparing it, so I couldn’t.

Annabelle was extremely rude and dismissive, making it seem like it was my problem for wanting to cancel. Instead of apologizing or trying to help, she said there was nothing she could do and told me to call DoorDash. When I said I’d be leaving a review because of how poorly she handled it, she said, “Great, go ahead,” and then spelled out her name — A-N-N-A-B-E-L-L-E — like she was proud of it.

Unbelievably unprofessional attitude from someone representing The Salty. Definitely not the kind of experience you expect when all you wanted was good coffee and...

Didn’t even know that there was one in my location , somehow saw it pop up on maps while i was looking for gluten free pastries. And they have one donut GF - banana flavored ( by the way my friend asked if i was sure it’s gluten free since it tasted really good which is unusual for GF pastries - so thank you very much for it ,really 💕not a lot of places in orlando with gluten free option ) . They also have some vegan choices if i am not mistaken.

The customer service though is why i would be coming back to have coffee there for sure now. There was a misunderstanding with my order, from my part as well , no one’s fault really but the guy who talked to me on the phone later was super nice about it ,I really appreciate it and how quick the online order was delivered. The Salty Donut just opened near Daryl Carter Parkway by Disney Springs and it is definitely worth a visit. I tried the Guava Donut and it was incredible. The filling was smooth and flavorful without being too sweet. The cream cheese drizzle and flaky filo dough on top added the perfect balance of textures and flavors.

I also had the Cinnamon Cereal Milk Latte. It came with a double shot of espresso and their house-made coffee, and I chose half-and-half for the creamer. It was sweet, smooth, and had just the right amount of coffee kick. I personally would have loved even more of the cereal flavor, but overall it was still very good.

The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the quality of both the donuts and drinks makes this spot a must-try for Orlando donut and coffee lovers. I will...
