Hi All, This Buffalo Wild Wings location is solid. I would honestly say that it has the exact same level of consistency and internal control as any other locations I’ve been to in the Midwest. Location: The location is relatively clean. Which is good enough, but the decor is old, warn and the overall vide is that you’re eating in a dark hole sometimes. Kind of like and adventure zone or something. Lots of flashing stuff to make you forget about the semi dirty carpet and hit and miss silver ware (which is 99.9% the giant washer machines fault). If updated would need a lighter/airy modern rustic decor w/ faux brick or something. Just so the dining area doesn’t feel so dark and gloomy. Staff: The staff are polite enough and friendly without being in your face. I’ve never had an experience where I thought a server or staff member was rude. On the other hand I’ve never had an experience there that allows me to remember a staff members name after I leave. Food: The food IS good. I’ve NEVER had a bad set of wings or burger or wedges or anything like that. So the kitchen staff does a good job across the board to make their large menu decent. If you dine-in, please make sure the soda CO2 is stocked correctly as many times the sodas are flat. But it’s nothing major. If you order to go. ALWAYS check your order before you leave as I’d say 12-15% you may get the wrong order in the bag or be missing an item. Not too bad but it’s because there’s little to no communication between the back and the front counter (although it seems sometimes there’s way to many staff members standing around at the counter, with only one person receiving orders). Like I said, about the same everywhere.
So hopefully all of that isn’t a massive dig at Buffalo Wild Wings. It’s doing what it needs to. No more, no less.
So if you’re looking to stuff your face with non-inspired boneless or traditional wings and some wedges, the let’s face it- you’re probably gonna drown in an ungodly amount of ranch,go here. If you’re the person that needs flame smoked wings on an organic reduction mix with a specialty aioli, I would be willing the server will roll their eyes at you for making their shift that much more...
Read moreA plate of wings isn't worth the Covid risk I ran picking them up. Tonight I stopped by BWW in Duluth after calling my order in ahead. They told me it would be about 5 min when I got there at 4pm. 25 min later I finally got my wings. Having to wait for pickup isn't uncommon, but the way I had to wait was really upsetting.
At one point I saw 5 employees all behind the pickup counter at the same time, shoulder-to-shoulder, including one who looked like a manager. Meanwhile, other customers who came to pick up their food were expected to wait in the lobby, which had no markings for distancing and at one point held 10 of us plus the hostess in a very small space. Just a little ways away were two groups of customers sitting at tables with no masks on. At least staff all wore masks, but still.
There are a lot of better ways to do pickup, that don't involve a dozen people loitering dangerously in your lobby for up to half an hour. Other restaurants have curbside pickup where staff comes to customers' cars with their food. Tavern on the Hill is one example (I just ordered from them over the weekend). If that can't work for some reason, you could let customers wait in their cars and text them when their order is ready, like the library does for books. Or even just use normal restaurant pagers.
I won't be able to come back anytime soon, I'm afraid. And for the next two weeks I'll be second guessing every cough and headache I have....
Read moreThe service was so slow! The dining room wasn't even that busy. I saw approximately 10 servers and hostesses while we were there but the food was late coming out and when it finally did it was cold and looked like it had been out overnight. Clearly she forgot put order or didn't care it was "dead food" and sitting there. The server was pretty non existent. Where is the quality control? The servers were too busy chatting in the little soda refill cubbies standing there laughing and even with the manager. It comes down to staff laziness and poor management. Time to be the boss, not their friends. The entire time we sat there we were surrounded by dirty tables that still hadn't been cleaned off when we left. It was disgusting and embarrassing. Super annoying to see staff sitting around doing nothing, I was about to go clean the tables myself. 🙄 It seems that BWW was once a super fun and reliable place to eat, but I would have been better off stopping at McDonald's because at least they consistently make the same hot food. Also BWW I am sad to see you only offer Pepsi products? No one likes Pepsi. Stop being cheap and just get Coke again please. The bathrooms were also dirty and toilet paper on the floor, graffiti on the walls. Overall not pleased with this...
