Me and the Ole lady had a mad craving for some taco al pastor street tacos so we decided to give this place a try being my first time ever going to this joint. we ordered 2 orders of street tacos some queso with chorizo mixed in. I find the restaurant which took me a few questions from people that worked in fitgers to finally find the front doors to the restaurant I finally find it and head to the bar to pick up our Togo order the bartender was nice but also confused as he charged me 3 different amounts for the tacos the first being 56 bucks the Second he charged me 15 bucks and the 3rd and finally time he charged me 44 bucks which should have been the correct amount we get home to open up some chips to tear up some queso and salsa to find out the chips tasted like 4 day old stale chips that kids forgot to close the bag on. So we throw those away and open up a bag of store bought chips which is against my beliefs! the tacos were amazing and we went about our day I noticed the next day that the bartender had charged me 3 different amounts so I call and talk to this nice lady that was the manager about it she was very helpful although I did tell her about the nasty chips and she never once asked to give me money back a new bag of chips or anything however she did help me get the over charges taken care of. For a first time customer that loves mexican food I probably won't be going back as to many things went wrong all though the street tacos were good just not worth it in my eyes. The chips was the deciding factor once I told the manager about them and she told me the cooks should have cooked them longer and she didn't do anything to fix our problem, in my mind the place is as nasty as the 4 day old stale chips were. Which is sad I live for tacos and chips not once did anyone fix or act like they were going to fix the 3 nasty bags of 4 day...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst of all, the ambiance is great and the menu has great selections. However, our experience was not nearly what we expected from similar restaurants. In your defense, we were a large party of about 16 people, a few of which were pre-teens that kept moving around, as they are apt to do. As well, we had several people join the party as time moved along. It seems a common experience was cold food. One plate of chicken wings was delivered apparently without being warmed, as if it came straight from the refrigerator to the plate and delivered cold. While the one server continually came to the table with plates of food and asked who had a particular dish, at least one dinner was served only after asking the server where it was. Her response was that it was in the kitchen and they did not know for whom it was intended. Toward the end of the meal, one guest knocked over a full glass of iced water. While nearby guests passed handfuls of napkins, the server seemed oblivious to the spill and a puddle of water under the table. As to tastiness of meals, I cannot testify. As my meal was delivered cold and had to be taken back to the kitchen to be heated, when I did eat it, it was less than expected. A similar opinion came from the woman whose chicken wings were initially delivered cold ā when they returned after warming, she said they were quite flavorless. Perhaps if the group had been served by more than one server, our experience would have been better. Also, if the kitchen had warmed the food, it might have been tastier. I will visit again because I love Mexican food and Mexican restaurants in the area are scarce. I sincerely hope that the service and food will be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stopped at Mexico Linda in Duluth for lunch and were genuinely impressed. My Fiesta Burrito (shredded pork smothered in cheese sauce, pico de gallo, plus a side of rice and beans for about $13) was a comforting, satisfying meal rich but not greasy, with that cheesy pico combo bringing a tasty zip. Each bite was flavorful, and the portions were generous without being over the top.
My wife went for the Mariscos, their seafood dish, and it was a highlight: tender shrimp and flavorful toppings, all balanced just right. No heavy food factory taste here; the seafood felt fresh and the seasoning thoughtful.
Service wise, we were treated like welcomed guests. Chips and salsa arrived quickly, and the staff checked in at just the right moments: not hovering, but attentive.
Atmosphere wise, itās relaxed and low key. A modest space with no flashy dĆ©cor, which suits the place. You come for real comfort food, not Instagram shots. It does feel like a neighborhood joint where people go to unwind and eat well. No pretensions, just good food and friendly service.
Hereās the bottom line:
Fiesta Burrito cheesy, hearty, satisfying. A solid 8 out of 10 in burrito comfort food Mariscos might be the star of the night: fresh, well seasoned, no seafood funk Service friendly and efficient. No long waits Ambiance casual, unpretentious, perfect for a laid back lunch or casual dinner
If youāre in Duluth and craving something more genuine than chain Tex Mex but still comforting and affordable, Mexico Linda is a great pick. Itās not high falutin, but sometimes thatās exactly what you want. Iād...
