I come to this Papa John's because I was under the impression it's better than the one on Larkin - which is significantly closer to me. I figured better quality food was worth the distance.
TL;DR - this Papa John's has no accountability and for whatever reason, the pizza makers cannot follow what was ordered. Give this franchise your business if you enjoy having your order botched and made wrong consistently. Otherwise, give them a wide berth because these folks can't even commit to making a pizza correctly. Lord knows what other corners are being cut.
Let me say that my order is not complicated. I simply ask for my pizza to be well done and square cut. Tonight was the FOURTH time that I find my pizza to be neither.
The first couple times, sure maybe someone new made my pizza and just messed up. Mistakes happen. However, the last time I made the mistake of ordering from this Papa John's, my pizza was wrong again and I let the manager (owner maybe? He's an older dude) know. He was recalcitrant and expedited a new, correct pizza for me.
Fast forward to tonight and to my dismay, my pizza was made wrong yet again. I confront the manager/owner and it's a big fat whatever to him.
"I'll remake you a new one, it'll be ready in a half hour."
Sorry. An half hour because you couldn't read the order on your screen? Nah son, I've got a hungry family at home and that's entirely unacceptable.
What a joke. Hard pass. This location has violated my trust for the last time and will no longer receive my business. A damn shame if you ask me because I enjoy Papa John's. Just never again at the West...
Read moreThe food itself was as expected. Not knocking my socks off but not turning my nose either.
What got me was that I couldn't easily place the order online. It kept looping me to verify details. Possibly because I was paying part of it with a gift card but the promised I'd be able to add my card info momentarily. It lied.
When I got there, I explained that I was trying to place it online, and told them the deal I was trying to get. He acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. So, I show him my phone and verbally announce thr type of pizza and wings side. He gets it.
We waited outside in the car... since in couldn't phone interview ahead.. we happened to be driving by so we just stopped.
He doesn't ask my name and didn't verify my order. I was so hungry from a full day at the field museum and aving not eaten since 7 am that by 6 pm I was as good as a zombie. He tells me 15 min wait.
Great. We wait. I go in to check...
10 mins later... they are just putting it in. 10 mins after that, it's not done. 6-8 mins later it's done but there's bread sticks with it. I say, that's fine. We're hungry and I'll just take it. She insisted she correct. 5 more mins... Finally wings encompany me home.
The food at any Papa Johns is always a 5-6 for me. Not great, not bad, just something to digest that reminds me of pizza for an affordable price.
The saving grace was the lady who corrected my order and let us take the sticks too. It was still relatively hot 5 mins later when...
Read moreImpressed! Sunday night we ordered 3 large pizzas from this location and one of those was burnt to the crisp. I ordered from door dash who did absolutely nothing but tell me to call Papa John's. I called and spoke with Danielle she couldn't come to a solution at that time because I ordered through door dash. I wasn't looking for my money back but I did expect to have another pizza delivered that we could eat. As you can see in the pictures I posted the one delivered wouldn't be enjoyable and the pizza was thrown away. Come to find out that it wasn't the pizza bakers fault they just had their ovens cleaned and something happened in the process that burnt the pizza. I understand they were probably really busy and didnt inspect the pizza before it went into a box. After speaking with Danielle I truly feel that she would not approve it to leave the location as burnt as it was if she would have seen it. After all I am very impressed after the phone call I received this afternoon from Danielle with an sincere apology and she did make up for the burnt pizza. I can see that she does cherish her employment with Papa John's and does care for her customers. Her phone call meant the world and I will forever order from her location. Thank...
