Blur Nightclub — Restaurant in Dunedin

I really wanted to give this place a good review. My credit card was charged twice. One charge was on a day we were not even there! I I called and talked to two different managers two days apart. However, after getting the run-around and excuses such as; a bad credit card system, busy night, busy bartenders, (the amount of patrons present could be counted on two hands) and that the owner still had to go through the receipts, after stating I would be forced to file for fraud via my CC company, I was told by one of the managers to just get a charge-back from my credit card company. Thankfully, my CC company issued me a refund right away! I would not be giving this low-star review if the first manager had taken the time to deal with my issue and not lied to me about follow-up. My trust is blown with the staff and management. I have a lot of visitors coming to visit over the next few months. Blur will not be one of the places we spend our money. Which is a bummer because it is a cool space. I suggest you re-train your staff on being honest with customers and get your system running...

Went with a group of 5 last night to check out Blur for the first time. We were enjoying the band when I went to use the restroom. When I came back, I grabbed my seat again and continued to jam out. However, a patron passed by me and looked angry. A few moments later he reached over me to grab a water bottle. When I said excuse me, he started to yell at me about how I stole his seat, was disrespectful, I should be sorry and need to apologize to him and move. There was an open seat right next to me! I was shocked and angry that I was being yelled at by a grown man at the bar for stealing his seat !! I didn’t respond but told my friends what happened and left. One of my friends confronted him to let him know that I actually was there first. He ended up hitting her in the arm !!! We told security about the altercation on the way out but no action was taken because when we passed by we saw the patron was still there. This local live music bar loving group of 5 will not be returning.
