Circle 1852 — Restaurant in Dunedin

I can’t say enough great things about the bartending team at Circle 1852 today! I came in around 4, was a bit quite assuming either because it’s Sunday or football. 🤷‍♀️ My issue was with the business I ordered food from, Circle 1852 was great!

The restaurant I got food from I tried talking to you before they close their out window, it’s not like the place was busy. I was the only customer on the floor! They had opened it to speak to I believe The neighboring business that helped me!! Even answering questions about the menu because I couldn’t get the owner to Answer or whoever was working!! After I came back from my car brought the 2 pizzas back in confused which was what, already a little disappointed with the establishment that sold it! But by no means should this reflect on circle 1852! They saw me knocking on the window trying to ask, asked if they could help. They looked at the two pizzas and they couldn’t answer either because it sounds like it was wrong…

I thought it made it great, to have a place to sit and wait for your food to come by and grab some food to take home, and conveniently can have a pretty beverage...

While the venue itself was pleasant, the overall service was quite disappointing. It took an unacceptably long 30 minutes for our three drinks to arrive, and they were brought out individually rather than together. The server appeared uninterested and unengaging, and when I inquired about a busser for our table, he simply removed the dirty glasses without addressing my request. In the end, I had to get up and request a towel to clean our table myself.

Furthermore, the entertainment was excessively loud for the atmosphere of the venue. It would be wise to lower the volume a bit, as this is not a rowdy pub setting.

Finally parking is minimal at best as we parked in the public lot a few blocks away.

Sat for 20 minutes before our order was taken. Ordered 2 drinks off the menu. 20 minutes later we told our waiter to cancel our order because we didn’t have time to wait. He said we needed a manager to make sure we didn’t get charged. That took another 10 minutes. Spent almost an hour there and never got a drink. Table next to us got two rounds in that time.
