Lunch price of $18.99/person, $9.99/child (4-10 years old) Dinner price of $37.99/person, $15.99/child (4-10 years old)
I’m not sure why people are leaving negative reviews claiming how little they eat for a restaurant that CLEARLY MARKETS ITSELF AS AYCE (All You Can Eat). Right off the bat, they tell you they DO NOT DO A LA CARTE.
There was one review complaining about portion sizes. Clearly they forgot they’re able to order more since it’s all you can eat. Sometimes the establishment hits a wait (especially during lunch, given how low their price is for their lunch menu) and there isn’t much of a difference between their lunch and dinner menus. There are some rolls you can only order during dinner and the hot bar food is swapped out for dinner as well.
I also inquired about the reviews regarding the long wait times for food to be served, and I was told they don’t leave sushi out so it’s ready to be served, they instead opted for the sushi to be made to order and that their sushi chefs sometimes end up backlogged. I personally think the sushi bar is rather small for an establishment that can serve a fairly large number of customers at once, maybe they will expand it in the future or hire more sushi chefs to accommodate the frequency of the sushi orders during busy times to remedy this issue.
The food itself, I enjoyed. The Angry Dragon Roll is something I’ve frequently ordered, as well as the eel avocado roll (both the hand roll and regular roll). There is one that is rather creative and it’s called the “Sweetheart Roll” where it’s served in the shape of a heart instead of the usual roll sushi usually comes in. The filet mignon hibachi is one I recommend as well. For people who don’t eat sushi as much as they would hibachi or teriyaki, their hibachi and teriyaki items are also part of the AYCE menu, meaning you can order the same one multiple times, or even try the different items listed under those categories (if you’re that hungry). There are chicken wings, egg rolls, noodles, and fried rice in the hot bar as well. Plus, they have a dessert bar that serves bubble tea, cookies, and brownies that are unlimited as well. Their bubble tea flavors are rather limited to four different flavors: mango, passion fruit, taro, and original milk tea. Each one has different toppings, but hopefully they’ll be able to expand their selection on bubble tea flavors, maybe even swap out the usual three or four with another set of flavors.
For parties of six or more, they offer two menu items called the “Sashimi Combination” and “Love Boat”, however they limit these to one order per six people (at the time of writing). The Sashimi Combination is 30 pieces of sashimi and an order of Naruto roll while the Love Boat is 18 pieces of Nigiri, 18 sashimi, Sweet Heart Roll and Sushi Kingdom Roll (their own original roll). The reason I was given for limiting these orders is to avoid backlogging the sushi chefs since they come in large quantities (and is served in a little boat that they bring to your table).
Overall, I would recommend giving it a try. But if you do come here, come here HUNGRY or you won’t get your money’s worth. It’s best to come here when you’re completely free as well so you can take advantage of their two hour...
Read moreNot sure how this place has a 4.4 rating. Should be closer to 3/5, but I rate this a 4/10 overall.
We were greeted and seated immediately on a Saturday evening. Our server also greeted us immediately and did a great job explaining how AYCE menu worked vs what was served at the bar.
Buffet was not impressive at all. As I was looking at the mussels, another customer warned me not to get it because it “tasted fishy” today aka they weren’t fresh. The steamed snow crab legs from the buffet were okay, but they should have served it with a butter sauce or something. Very limited buffet options. Do not expect too much.
Sashimi bar also had limited options (about 7 selections to choose from), and I would compare the quality to buying Kroger sushi. It’s not terrible, but it’s not amazing. The salmon sashimi was the best. The rest had a dry consistency and did not seem fresh. I will say they did a great job refilling the bar with more during the dinner rush.
Dessert bar was also average. Everyone was right about the watered down milk tea.
Hibachi was sweet and came out lukewarm.
We also ordered 3 miso soups, and the waiter never brought it out. After reminding him, he brought out one bowl and said that was the last bowl of miso for the night. The bowl was also cold (but he didn’t mind microwaving it for us). As we moved on to dessert about 20 minutes later, we overheard another table ordering miso soup, and their waiter served them two bowls, so we’re not sure what happened there, but it was disappointing. Our server also stopped checking in on us, so although he was great in the beginning, the service was not consistent.
Overall: Nice decorations. Nice hosts. Nice music in the background. Decent service. Have low expectations for the sashimi bar and the buffet. If you’re big on rolls, then you’ll probably like this place. Just order enough of that + hibachi to get your 40 bucks worth. Otherwise, don’t come here for sashimi. Lastly, they don’t have their license yet to serve alcohol yet.
They also have a birthday special where birthday girl/boy eats free as long as they come with a party of 6+. They’re also lenient with it being your birth month (doesn’t have to...
Read moreI would like to start by saying my review is mostly about the management. I was really excited to try a fairly new sushi resturant.
But we did not get to enjoy any of their food or the few bites we had in the dark. We walked in and was seated for about 10 mins we had order some items off their menu and their power went out. We know however this is not their fault and its not in their control. However we sat for another 10 mins in the dark with our phone flash light on trying to wait. while we wait had a few bites of food whatever was brough out in the dark as we were definitely hungry. The management came over and said we are sorry but it probably will be another 2 hrs before the power comes back if we like to hang around. Food was at a halt and it was pitch black, why would we want to wait. Then the management came over with the bill and said they would give us 20% off our orignal bill, it was myself,. my wife , and 2 little children. We were only there about 20 mins and 10 mins of it was in the dark. The bill was almost $100 for not having a meal. We don't like to complain or argue, we simply paid and left. But management should have known that we just sat down and didn't even eat anything. As we were sitting there people actually leave without paying right when power went out. We were respectful enought to try to stay and not walk out without paying. But I think manangement could had handle our table alittle better.
However the little bits we had in the dark which I had a few piece of Nigiri. The rice was really firm seem like need more cook time, fish was decently good for an all you can eat style resturant. Thats all I can review on their food.
I gave them 2 stars because I could only rate I had the chance to eat, which was almost nothing. And rating on just poor judgement on the...
